War Effort / Scarab Lord

During Vanilla, most realms had several weeks and even months of turning in materials for the war effort. This resulting in multiple BWL clears for all guilds for the Broodlord head, which was required to continue working on the quest chain.

This time around, a lot of guilds have stockpiled all the mats required for the war effort, possibly completing it first couple of days (if not on day 1 even). After the completion of the war effort follows a 5 day delay, where all the materials collected are transported to Silithus.

This raises some concern:
A) Will Silithus be playable at all during this 1 week where the war effort is going on, seeing almost the entire server will be there to experience it?

B) Will Broodlord head be lootable once per raid like in Vanilla, or will TBC rules (everyone on the quest can loot it) to compensate for the shorter time window of the war efforts than in Vanilla?

C) Due to all the servers having login queues and massive world lag in Silithus when War Effort is released, will it even be possible to farm the thousands of Silithid Carapace Fragments needed for the quest chain?

I’m hoping for an announcement like:
ā€œWar Efforts will open in 1 month from now, the Scarab Lord quest chain is opened up as of today, to compensate for the shorter time window of the war effort now compared to Vanillaā€.

This would take off a lot of pressure from Silithus when War Efforts are released and also give every guild decent time to do the farming required for a small amount of players.

Would be nice with a blue post confirming how this will actually be done.

Whats going to happen is the area where you need to be to turn in the war effort materials quests is going to be so overcrowed. Their will be so much lag it will be impossible for anyone to turn in any quests for weeks. Its thousands of quest turn ins that need to happen. Doubt blizzards hammster can run fast enough to power the servers to do that in a week… esp after the beating it took at zg launch

Even with 10 layers, Silithus will he completely unplayable if every guild on the server has just 1 week to farm the thousands of Silithus husks needed to complete the quest chain.

I hope Blizzard has some plans to either A) Pre-release the Scepter quest chain like 1 month before the war efforts begin, or, B) Time gate the war efforts somehow to last minimum a month before completing.

Yep, silithis will be a complete shltshow. Even the opening of ZG was unplayable for 3 hours straight on Shazzrah. AQ40 will be a nice slideshow. I know i won’t be there for too long…

The game is 15 years old. It`s incomprehensible that they still cant make the gaming experience lag-free. Incomprehensible…

I hope Blizzard will delay the War Effort so we have time to do the Legendary Mount quest chain. (Or at least let everyone loot the quest items.)

Add on that that we don’t have layers. We will not be playing for a long time.

I said in a previous thread that the War Effort mats should be changed so it’s not over quickly.
I got shot down by the #nochanges idiotic crowd.
So let them I say.
Well done on ruining it for others whi haven’t experienced it

Most of these ā€˜#nochanges’ trolls are just Blizzard bots. Blizzard doen’t want to invest even 10 minutes in this game. All they want are the big profit it brings them. They don’t even have one real person working on this game. The customer service is fully automated.

People are gonna think it won’t be a complete… mess xD.

I don’t really care much for the mount, who cares… especially if you have to play in the lagfest that it’ll be lol.

Would be nice with some constructive comments on how this could be handled the best way.

Maybe we could get Blizzard’s attention and hopefully help making this once in a lifetime event just as great as it was in vanilla.

It was shiet in vanilla, almost every server collapsed when the gong was about to go off.
