Questing comes with danger. What kind of adventurer are you if you just cannot be killed by anything at any time untill you queue for dungeons?
Just like Dark Souls invaders, red names in open world is another challenge to be overcome. If anything, the rewards should come from killing players and not for simply having war mode on.
Gamers need to be hardened a bit in my humble opinion.
I can think of a time i killed two gankers while leveling up. One of them was a war 2 levels up. 78 i believe. the other was 3 or 4 levels lower.
All i did was aspect of the cheetah away, dropped traps, turned around and dumped my CDs on the lower level.
He died, then i feigned death and stealthed. Waited my Cds, the idiot warrior was still there just using Whirlwind everywere xD.
Threw an implosion trap and jumped him. I won with a sliver of health left.
My heart was pumping and i was full of adrealine. It baffles my why you guys deny yourselves this thrill.
The opposite also happened. I was questing with my bro, a fury warrior. We jumped a frost DK together.
Because we are knuckleheads, we forgot that you cant be in melee range of a frost DK. Long story short he killed both of us and slowly walked away like the bloody terminator xD .
I praised him in general chat and he said thank you. For some reason he could understand orcish and elvish.
Do you really hate the above interactions so much? What exactly is so visceraly wrong and evil in dying in open world?
Which is why it feels SO much better when you actually win.
And it gives you an incentive to gear up, come back, and slaugther the bastards that ganked you.
Read my above post. You are doing yourself a disservice IMO if you avoid pvp. (not you personally ofc).
But i understand what you mean. You will always find honorless cowards.
But it will just make you stronger if you have the resolve for it.
Canât blame the victim from trying to escape. Especially if we are talking about ganking.
He is not paying his sub to to entertain you by being your personal practice dummy/honour kill farm target.
As for
WHo knows. Maybe but I think there where other ways to escape like jumping shards and stuffâŚat least a while back. No idea about now.
True. He is however paying to play a game. a Challenge.
I am just another mob for him to kill and overcome. Im not farming anyone that fights back. You are not paying to win instantly after all. You would get bored in days.
Once again, if that bothers them, they can just turn war mode off and make fun of me by dancing in my face while i fume.
I think you spend too much time on forums Illinen. Play the game moreâŚ
This never happens to me and I engage in world PVP a lot, you wonât even have time to open your dungeon finder window before I send you on a date with the spirit healer. LOL
if you want a lot of world PVP you can hang around in PVP areas, even if someone manages to disappear on you like that, there will always be more in no time. Especially if there are world quests active.
Most people play videogames to relax. They also like to get their time worth while their progressing on something.
World PvP disrupts both of these things. Donât get me wrong, I understand that the thrill of âpossible mortal danger coming your way at any momentâ does make the mostly harmless boring open world more exciting.
Most people simply donât want to spend their time being reskilled over and over by someone who outlevels or outgears them. There is simply nothing enjoyable about it. Even instanced PvP has massive issues with âfairness.â In world PvP, this concept doesnât even exist.
I have turned WM on very little so far. Iâve done it for a bit in BfA where it had massive sharding issues.
I remember in Zuldazar, I managed to get into two raids brawling in the open to do the âkill 10 playersâ quest - You couldnât do the quest in raid group. So I had to apply to get an invite to âshard inâ to the fight and then leave the raid to progress on the quest.
However, if the fight moved into a different area of the map, I phased out of the âraid shardâ and had to apply and be invited again so I could leave again to progress the quest while hoping the fight doesnât move somewhere else. Mind you, I am a healer. It was dreadful.
Then in Nazjatar, there were always at least five times more Horde than Alli players for some reason. Literally unplayable at any hour of the day.
I did couple world PvP quests in DF and they were really really mid, not terrible, but nothing that would make me want to do it more.
I fully support the âbribesâ tho. Players take more risk in WM so they should recieve a greater reward. Thatâs literally how anything in this game works. By this logic, the highest ilvl gear in Mythic Raids is âbribingâ people to do Mythic Raiding when they could do LFR instead ⌠or progress into high lvl M+ or high tier delves.
how cute, do you realize you can use EVERYTHING in the world PVP now do you? I just killed about 3 people with that bomb that does about 2mil aoe after 5 seconds, and I have items that could top my health many times, multiple toys to escape danger, gliders, selfress and more, why are you guys keep complaining about everything instead of playing the damn game
Most things like that worked in instanced casual pvp as well, I love this tiktok dude, look up Alunethmaster there, he will teach you how to enjoy casual PVP.
in PVP zone everyone will be your enemy except people in your group.
I dont do alts anymore, but look at this dude, he is proving that casual pvp is amazing https://www.tiktok.com/@alunethmaster/video/7382363598439451937
When I enable warmode I do it for extra exp and fully expect others to have WM on for the same reason, since world PVP is garbage and I donât see why anyone reasonable would bother with it.
