A lot of war with ins issues would be solved if it was more “conservative”

I mean, sure, if Blizzard just made The War Within as a 1:1 recreation of Dragonflight and spent all their time and effort on balancing out the issues that existed with the design of Dragonflight, then you’d have a really polished expansion.

And an incredibly boring one.

The reason why we get new stuff like Hero Talents and Delves and Follower Dungeons is because the game would get incredibly stale and dull and lame if it was just the same thing over and over and over.

And my point is simply that The War Within is almost the exact same thing over again. It’s not 1:1 Dragonflight, but it’s damn close. Too close I think. Blizzard innovated way more between expansions in the past.

So, I played every expansion but only on few I started from the very beginning.

Previous expansion, I entered and did some stuff, got alchemy to max, but the profession itself was awful, nobody asked for any potion or flask to be made and I thought it was just waste of time and effort.

I remember I played even earlier expansion, that MAW… In general these expansions have been OK first month, until you see the content and stuff, but then becomes somehow redundant and don’t know what to do after reaching max level and max out prof. I quit after 1 month during last two expansions.

Anything new here? Is it just “Ok so it looks like wow, it is wow, log in once in a while, look at beautiful stuff and log out”. The guilds have always been awful, no community, nothing, I always felt it was an Arcade game.

Anything interesting this expansion? I have higher hopes because I guess they used AI creativity to generate some fun in the game.

depends how you plan to play .

if ultra casualy ? yeah definetly. for super casuals TWW is objectively the best expansion ever. just if you dont plan to raid or m+.

if even semi serious ? yeah not worth it with current tuning

No I agree alot of the complaints I’ve seen are bs about story “issues” people are having and their worthless issue. Like Alleria being a focus what were they expecting in a void expac

Heh, I would have reached the opposite conclusion.

I think it’s only really worth it if you’re into raiding or Mythic+.
Because if you’re not, and if all you do is your weeklies and your Delves and your World Quests and perhaps a bit of PvP on the side (like me), then you can do it all on a Wednesday.
Outside of that difficulty progression you find in raiding and Mythic+, the game really doesn’t have much going for it in terms of day-to-day gameplay that’s meaningful and rewarding. It’s a poor man’s ARPG experience.

I can agree there’s definitely lack of open world content in general.
I really wish Blizzard expanded open world content somehow…I ain’t even sure how, but I crave to spend more time in the open world areas rather than fly around city waiting for queue to pop up or just…look for delve entrance.

Ngl tho, really enjoyed the release of the expansion as I moved slower than ever and just took my time.
…but I can agree, if you are not into M+ and raiding, the content you can do is literally 0.

PS: Why are putting an example of progression ppl? I`m a casuel I don’t care of that, I want some items to make my life easy, mogs more importantly and fun in game.

I hate arenas, but I might enjoy the mindless slugfest of BG-s though. Last time I entered, with healer, it was endless stunlock until dying, but dps was fun as I remember.

I hated mythic stones but I could enjoy a casual guild raiding normals.

But if the sorroundings are beautiful, dungeons are nice, I could give it a try I guess.

That’s the honeymoon with FF, most veterans (including me) find FF so stale now.

They literally never change the patch formula and the content they add in each patch(once you run dry of content) lasts only a few hours usually.

You are absolutely correct, after being forced to play the terrible story for 3 weeks and the only thing my friends would do with me was PoTD i unsubbed yesterday.
