War Within pre patch

The prepatch is coming in a month or so. But how will it work.

You’ll do the events and be rewarded with a currency with which you can buy catch up gear. But can you get all gear slots this way? Including trinkets and jewlery?

I also read it’s ilvl 480 gear? But will the event reward flightstones and crests to upgrade the gear to idk ilvl 500?

I also read you can level with the event, but is there a way to reach level 70 even now without doing Dragonflight (really boring expansion for leveling especially tbh)?

Pre patch events typically have big increased XP gains from doing them. I’m not much of an altaholic, but the prepatch of Legion with the invasions in some old Classic zones I’d level a character from fresh to max within two hours… and it provided gear for all armor and weapon slots. Can’t recall accessories and trinkets though.

I wouldn’t be concerned about upgrading gear, you’d be replacing them quick come TWW – the prepatch is readying those characters for it.

Leveling is hella fun.

first - no, it’s not since they dumbed it down to well, the parody of gameplay. It feels like slog - you are told you gonna level super fast, yet it drags way too long with no real content or any kind of challenge except “how many times can you repeat this questline without going insane”. Also if you somehow start finding the zone/campaign fun… BOOM you are too high level - out of CT, back to “retail”!
Idc you find it fun. Some people irl find super disgusting or offensive stuff “Fun” but the objective morality says it ain’t right.

second - even if we assume “levelling is hella fun” - then you still don’t need that ring - there is a bunch of heirloom rings, it’s a low budget stat item and frankly if we wanna pretend levelling is fun, then the only fun thing about it could be like - getting new gear all the time… which heirlooms are literally removing. LOL

Also, no offense plz but most people I met who “love levelling” are just super super bad at the endgame content - yet they are addicted to WoW “immersion” so they keep levelling new chars of class/race combos that they hit max level with and never touch unless they wanna farm seasonal mounts or something.

New ring? Cool? Looms are useless now :man_shrugging:t2: When do you think we’ll get a date for the path? Gotta be in a couple weeks right releasing end of july?

The heirlooms just mean you aren’t held back with low items, like my second ring. It levels with you. I agree the xp bonus being removed was a naff change.

All we know about prepatch is that they announced the removal of guild transfers/services late July. So we are presuming the patch will drop around then.

Haven’t upgraded mine since shadowlands feels like a waste of gold

I haven’t used gold to upgrade them since they removed the XP bonus but I have such a huge amount of timewarped badges I thought I might as well use them for something.

Pretty sure I’ve only upgraded my pally levelling kit as well, nothing else :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Hardly, leveled me mage without heirlooms through event dailies, lvl 68 hitting like a wet noodle with 150+ gear… heirlooms keeps your gear in check as you level, and not lagging behind like my mage – you can enchant them too that scales up as you level (till the enchant lvl cap is hit).

Sure, if you get carried to power level that’s great. Just your character sucks in the mean time. :stuck_out_tongue:

That being said, heirloom ring… meh. Already got 4 heirloom rings [3 off table missions 1 off fishing event tournament]. Be nice if it had some on hit effect or a proc of some sort.

Are you suggesting your opinion is ‘objectively moral’?! :joy:

Haven’t upgraded mine since Legion so they’re only valid up to 39 pr something.
They aren’t worth it anymore. There should just have a wee questline (like the heritage armour ones) to upgrade all your Heirlooms to current expansion.

yes, it is. And I’m tired of pretending it’s not.

Yours doesn’t.

Now play the way I tell you to because I know you better than you do."
