I have heard several people talk about getting the Warchief’s Blessing as Alliance. This buff goes out in Orgrimmar when someone turns in the one part of the Onyxia prequest chain and should only be obtainable by Horde players. So apparently the most try hard people, level up Horde characters and use Gnomish Mind Control Cap to make sure they are mindcontrolled on Horde side when the buff goes out and by this they are making sure they have their buff on their Alliance characters and can keep them for raids.
So my questions are, should this even be possible, or is this bug abuse? And if not, what are the rules for having characters on both Horde and Ally on the same PvP server, or even to have a friend on Horde side help you with it?
I think it is against rules to have both faction characters in PVP realm.
How mindcontrol can give you buff?
Mindcontrol makes you friendly to horde, and therefore you can get buffed.

ohh, sounds like exploiting system , well it is up to Blizzard to decide, but I do not think that something like that is considered clever use of game mechanics, clever , but exploit.
Yeah sure, but how to get that answer from blizzard though?

Just report this at bug section.
Calling this anything like an exploit is, uh, petty.
Like honestly, yes, the buffs are great, but for real? You need to be in Orgrimmar, have a person with gnomish mind control cap MC you, have it not get resisted and then actually get away from there and to your raid in a decent timeframe… While also of course knowing when someone’s gonna pop the dang head. It’s hardly something we’ll see entire guilds doing to prep for the raid.

Blizzard: you say a person pay us on two accounts for a buff? We should make this mandatory!
If you ever read a post about multiboxing you will understand.

Im asking because i want to do it, and alot of other people in my guild want to aswell, but if it’s bannable we’re obviously not gonna do it. On private servers this was common practice for the best guilds to do on all melees before EVERY raid. It is not nearly as hard as you think.
Well it is not about how easy , or not easy it is, it is huge buff and it is clearly unintended to be able to get both faction buffs.
What do you guys think the mindcontrol spells are for? Exactly stuff like that! It was created to a) kill the enemy faction with their own players and b) screw around with other faction resources for fun. This is definitely NOT against any rules. The “no cross faction colusion“ rule died witg the old TOS. As far as i know there is no word about in the current rules.
1/ u cant make character of oposing faction on PvP server
2/ buffing MCed player was never considered as bug. Priest can MC enemy player and buff them fort+heal em (just to be nice)

Doesn’t sound like an exploit

We are talking about faction buff now , not some buff that anyone can get , well except shaman, pal.
Anyway it is for Blizzard to decide, if someone wants to make content even easier for them self , they can do it, not like I care.
The priest MC does NOT work for WCB, this is what got me thinking that the Cap MC might be a bug.
This is far from an exploit. If anything it’s faction collusion (assuming it was deliberate ofc).
What? What do you even mean by it?
EXPLOIT CHEATTING BURN THEM AT THE STAKE s
yeah… that is how everyone here reacts when they hear something they couldn’t have thinked of themselfs.
