Warcraft Direct Leaks

So, it seems we now know what we’ll get on the 13th of November:

  • Warcraft 3 Remastered
  • Plunderstorm integrated into WoW directly (queueable inside the game itself?)
  • extra stuff for the new patch

What are your thoughts? Do you believe we will have more news or just these?

People need to start looking at the version number of the leaked WC3 remastered build and understand that it´s 99.99999% likely to a marketing stunt exploiting dataminers, and not in fact a backdoor announcement of WC3 2.0…

2.0.0.22230

2002 (release date of WC3)
22 (how many years WC3 has been available)
30 (do we need to explain this anymore at this point?)

To me that says that WC3 will in some way be involved in the announcements /festivities, but no more. But on teh flipside, this sort of discussion is exactly the sort of speculation /hype it was supposed to create, so by that metric the stunt was a resounding success :beers:

Isnt there a remastered already ? I personally think they are going for a warcraft 4 if anything .

If that’s all then i am disappointed. I was hoping for some long term road-map.

Yeah, with the Meat Wagon wow mount.

The logo for the warcraft remaster was for 2 not 3. Which makes sense as it was released nearly 30 years ago.

Plunderstorm has already been announced to return for a limited time next year (although they have deleted it from the announcement later).
I think they’ll announce the next season and give more details about the next expansion like new race, feature
Microsoft likes to remaster their games (Age of Empires) so most likely we’ll get some remaster of Warcraft 1, 2 and/or 3.
For Hearthstone I think they’ll announce the next 1-3 expansions.
For Warcraft Rumble they’ll announce some content
What I am most excited about is Warcraft Classic because its future is so uncertain. Season of Discovery is coming to an end. I hope it’s not continued after Naxx.
Mists of Pandaria Classic will be announced. I don’t really want that to happen. Although Cataclysm is not really Classic, it’s still similar in design to Wrath of the Lich King.
With Illidan and the blood elf cinematic shown in the recent announcements for Warcraft Direct it’s almost guaranteed we’ll get The Burning Crusade Classic (or Remix).

I wait for MoP. It was last time game was really good and people still talked in-game and guilds were active. After that I see only Legion as next best thing. Midnight and Last Titan really has to do something miraculous to rake any interest at all on retail versions. Just my opinion ofc.

The leak/rumor was WC2…not 3 as like you said its been done.

Yes I can agree MoP was the last time WoW was any good. After that players just stayed in their garrisons and joined instances. I hope they never release WoD Classic.
But most important WoW was good most of the time before MoP.

Warcraft is very good right now. I love the War Within.

In fact was probably for the panda thing. I unsub for 2 years cuz i had enough of wow.
But mop is a really fun and solid exp.

Every area is empty. Nobody talks or interacts. No thanks. Back to Cata while it lasts.

since cata.

They originally promised that there’ll be a whole reworked campaign with sc2 esque cutscenes.

Maaaaybe they’ll finally deliver on this promise

Blizzard always versions their game with the last number being the build number. I’m pretty sure you’re wrong.

I don’t know what we’re going to see. It may be a minor change that still leaves the game broken, but hopefully Reforged is gonna be fixed. Goodness knows, Warcraft 3 players deserve it. It was truly a tragedy what Blizzard did due to Kotick. (And yes, it was due to him, we know that now)

aah now it makes sense
