Tonight, a new Warden rises – congratulations Warden Irisandres Shadewind!
May she wear the mantle of responsibility well, and do it justice. Hail to the night!
What are the Wardens? We are the hum of a spinning blade in the moment before death!
What are the Wardens? We are the precision slice of a killing blow.
What are the Wardens? We are the silence in the shadows…

What mysteries lay in wait within the Bellecote household? A great, spiritual ailment grips the northlands, and while the Cult of the Forgotten (Shadow) gains new followers, its tendrils of darkness are always excised where they’re met.
“Next, this particular case is as of yet unknown to Strom. They are focused on… loftier things, shall we say. In short, the farmsteads of Dabyrie and Miller have… reported strange noises coming from the neighboring farm, where the Bellecotes live. Mister Bellecote himself is absent, as I gather—away on an expedition to Northrend.
They had no children, so it is just Mrs. Bellecote who was expected to take care of the household in his absence… but she’s been sighted less and less at communal activities. So much so that the neighbors have grown… weary.
Unfortunately the king’s own investigators likely do not know this, but she has likely been dead for quite some time now.” (…) “I invite you to go take a closer look yourselves, and you will see the imperfection in the lining… you will also note how the thing wearing Mrs. Bellecot’s skin has gone to great lengths to mask its scent and sordid state of existence, so much so that there is hardly one at all, even when standing right outside their doorstep. Or… on the roof, as was my case.
I believe this is no mere Forsaken, no ordinary Undead, but something else entirely, whose motivations are… as of yet unknown. But if it hasn’t made a move, nor has it disturbed its neighbors in the last two months, I believe it can wait another night. But not too many after that… Let us cultivate our image of fear, as the light of the moon should not be afraid to fall even on the most wretched of wights.”
After tonight’s Warden Moot in Amirdrassil our “shore leave” ends, and we make for distant shores again, embarking on a (hopefully) interesting adventure as part of an elaborate, if not crazy, high-fantasy 2-parter event.
I quite liked the new moot format, and I can only encourage those curious of it – if they have a Watchers-related char – do attend the next one, whenever that may be!
… have taken the Night Wardens to the northern lands, where our own Trainee Sylrin undertook a curious assignment – one potentially involving a “Golden Boar” from old Arathi legend – but the investigation led to twists and hurdles in the mission that the would-be-warden (even without her weapons as part of rigid standards) had to overcome with her wits and strengths alone, further demonstrating her worthiness to be initiated in the upper echelons of the ancient order.
Excerpt from the hunt below
The Alliance had indeed been transporting an Azerite shipment, under the instruction of the Arathor army, likely for military purposes – as the material was volatile and highly sought after, making it an ideal candidate for applications of all kinds. Munitions, armaments, even spells could perhaps benefit from it – and so how could Sylrin not recognize the telltale signs of Azerite, the mineral that stood at the heart of the Fourth War, the mineral responsible for the burning of her home, and the war that came to Darkshore.
Having been faced with either sending an entire army that would surely draw attenting, as the shipment came from behind enemy lines, someone made the tactical decision to send a small, covert force instead – hoping the convoy would seem inconspicuous enough to not draw attention. However, the cost of such a maneuver was the resilience of it all. They had been easily besieged by the roving bands that roamed the regions. Then, probably, as the Orcs loved to bring their posted pigs with them everywhere, this matter of food supply quickly turned the situation worse: as one of the boars must have gotten loose, and feast itself upon the precious substance.
Now, imbued with Azerite up to its tusks, the flickering embers of the planet’s very lifeblood had transformed the boar into nothing short of a living bomb.
This weekend we attended the Wardens community promotion ceremony for the Watchers Eanlin and Eldenar, May they wear the mantle well

And the day after we continued our campaign, taking the fight, covertly, into the heart of Forsaken lands. Our framing job was good, but was it good enough? Regardless, after that, we did the unwise and… paid the price.
I’ve scooped through the entire thread once more and I must admit, it’s a mindblowing experience. I haven’t seen anyone pour so much passion and content into a guild. From naval system that gives some good nostalgia throwback to how enemy types are presented. Something simple (by simple I mean grounded to a degree) and also charming in it’s own way.
I know there’s other Warden-focused guilds that also put a lot of effort, but this one is just exceeding one’s expectations.
Love it. Keep it going! And again (as I’ve said it before) I hope you find these words from a random to be motivating!
I sure do! Incredible that you took the time to do that and that it evoked such a reaction I am really humbled and grateful… I am pleased when things go appreciated Thank you, once more, as yes it is a labor of love
From faraway lands back to the comforts of Kalimdor. We’re attending the Alor’el Spring Festival on the second night as well!
Find our maritime traded or otherwise adventurously gained goods at our Night Wardens Stall (spot 5 on the festival layout map) or take on the Captain in a game of fortune – combating her origami treasure galleon with paper boats of your own!
Roll the dice on that or be more direct in your purchase, and remember—every good you see comes with its own tale of acquisition. You’re not buying just a ring, or just that dazzling rapier… but the story that comes attached with it!
Cool bunch with a well-written forum thread. Jai’are certainly did not disappoint on selling the story, even if my character didn’t get the furbolg flute he was after. Enjoyed my interaction – here’s to more in the future!
With the thread just about done (I dislike having to post every month to keep it active, the amount of cross-posting of new written stories or events updates is… eh)
And some problems with the website (the Apply page still works, but that’s about it)
Let me know if you wish to be part of our adventures by either writing in-game mail to my character (Jaiare) or contacting me on Discord directly (ender227)
