I might be way off here, but nevertheless I wanted to see if people feel/experience the same thing.
Warlock fears. I feel that they break way to rarely in classic. So far I’ve been knees deep in world PvP and loving it, and the only thing I’m kinda reacting about is the warlock fear.
My personal «record» probably was being feared for 16 seconds -literally- straight while 2 players attacked me. Same goes for mobs, which seem to «hold on» to their fear for a really long time, even with incoming damage.
Now, is this just me? Because I’m pretty sure I remember fear being more sensitive to dmg in vanilla. I don’t know, inputs?
its completly rng in classic sometimes they break instandly sometimes they just dont break i think the bigger problem is that if u fear someone he walks straight in one direction that feels weird
as a lock yes i does feel off. Very rarely breaks. Usually a shadowbolt would break it, and with dots up, one would be lucky to run a full drain life without breaking it. Then again i didnt really play lock much before BC. So unless there has been significant changes at some point in between…
When the game launched, fear would break on your own CoA, or even a corruption tick. Spell fear went though many bugs and revisions, at some point opponents could cancel fear by walking backwards!
In the end (last 5-6 months) you could really kill somebody while fearing them. Slap on dots, cast drain life, have your pet attack, all at the same time and fear wont break.
It was like that at the end of vanilla. Whether its fair, thats another thing.
Sadly almost everyone nowadays knows how to kill tremor totem And sometimes it takes tremor 3 seconds to break fear which is really awkward but well, it is what it is
I just keep re-putting it while I smack them with WF infused weapon over their head. And yeah, sometimes it takes long to free us but still! The times the Locks panic when their fear doesnt work is priceless.
Yes it is indeed. Mostly they just fear and then wand the totem, which is the correct way to do and works most of the time because of the tremor totem tics.
