looking only at the talent tree of the warlock, personally it is more pre-alpha. Useless talents, talents with illogical positions, talents that are thematically randomly located (eg the talents of unending resolve at the top center and then to reduce the CD at proc you have to go to the bottom left after taking a talent that has nothing to do with it like the cast reduction of healthstone and soustone). Capstone often absolutely insignificant.
Amount of CC to take range and cast clearly inferior to any class in the game (only demonology is saved), tell me if for example the mage frost pvp talent snowdrift that stuns was more useful to them or to destruction for example. Shadowfury at cast time is one of the most absurd things they could do to the class (in the meantime there are classes that are as if they had howl of terror, mortal coil and shadowfury instant all together).
They have been carrying on for decades the wicked choice of the tanky caster who must cast everything, when logically if one cannot root a target he would need instants and vice versa (while a frost mage pins you to the ground constantly and in the meantime jumps and shoots instants), furthermore halving this âtankynessâ (the dark pact sometimes breaks in less than a second).
Fundamentally âdirtyâ class, bases see that in the spellbook there are spells like âcorruptionâ (a cast time) for destru and demo, or the ritual of doom that no one uses especially after the 90% nerf. Graphic effects of various spells that are clearly worse than their vanilla version, and even in low low res. It is clearly a class left to total abandonment
I played destro last xpac thinking having big juicy bolts is nice where in reality I spent 90% of the time helplessly running away from melees especially warrs and DH and it was the most unfun time I had in arena, even if you play way better than your opponent warriors for example are overloaded with tools to stay in your face no matter what you do.
warrior is a big gatekeeper for many specs and frost mage is also its counterpart, would say those two need some serious pruning to let some other specs breath a bit
I doubt they care do rework but could use buff, havent had any meaningful buffs from any tuning patches yet, only flat dmg increases for already op classes. Its time to beef up locks and get buff.
I am for bringing back shadowfury only to destruction, as it has always been a final talent of this spec. For me all warlocks should have mortal coil and then based on the specialization affliction, howl of terror, destruction, shadowfury instant, demonoloy, the old carrion swarm that knocked enemies in the frontal cone backwards
in any case, as of today, one of the few possible things to do is to slightly improve some of the classâs defensive abilities. For example, you could increase the fel armor bonus reduction from 3% to 5% and simultaneously increase the passive healing of the fel synergy (which is objectively an incredibly low healing, a few thousand HP on a 15 million health pool, with as many as two talent points).
Or you could improve the regeneration percentage of the soul leech by increasing it to 15% and increase the armor bonus of the demon armor a bit. Since theyâre talking about tanky casters, obviously
I can agree, a lot of caster has massive instant roots, speeds, shields, bear form, jump, kick etc.
We are just standing in one place and cast cast cast.

(Mages have block in all specs, they has speed buff, tons of portals altertime)
(Elem has thunderstorm, mail armor, 1,5 min cd on 60% def, jump, sprint, tons of instant roots, slows, BURROW for trouble)
What we have in trouble? A portal to los the healer, or a wall with 40% dam reduction every 3 min, when WW and arms pops everything on your face every 1 min.

I hate it that all high tier locks play affli just because its good. But really boring and bland gameplay
Imo demonology is the best atm, you can do dmg a bit more easily than destru and can peel/setup alone.
Destru does great dmg but you canât do shxt if there is nobody to setup a go for you, also you have to deal with so much crap beside interrupt such as grounding reflect, feign death etcâŠ
Itâs not easy to get a good Windows as destru except if you play with a rogue.
Ppl kicks you? I just get 5 cc on me before anyone even goes for kick. Thats true of shadowbolt but meh. I rather have something else for warlock design than this.

While mages got so many insane changes and spells that at this point they can aoe kill an entire teams in 2 seconds
