To be fair, their utilities alone make me happy to see them in bg’s or raids. Heart and soulstones are wonderful things. And the demon gates can be pretty useful as well

Played my lock since vanilla, Destro all the way until Legion where I flitted between specs but back to destro for BfA, I wouldn’t change her for the world, admittedly shes became less mobile over time but I put that down to dodgy knees and the constant smell of burning flesh, disco inferno baby.

Long timer here, we have had some great periods when we were so enjoyable but everyone wanted us nerfed, so that’s what ‘they’ did, other times when I stopped playing her because they nerfed us out of existence.

Right now she is mediocre and there are much more powerful and useful chars so she is retired.

yes if you cut the melee legs gateway helps…what a joke. you clearly never played warlock

Or maybe you never did G’huun (Heroic or above) and Mythrax (Mythic specifically).
I mean, mostly it’s not a matter of life and death, but the gateway helps indeed for raid mechanics or if you have to reach quickly a spot, Warriors couldn’t even solo-run the orbs at G’huun if there are no gateways up in the raid…still, Warlocks and solo-runner was the most demanded classes to deal with this particular mechanic in the G’huun encounter.

Saying that gateways are useless it’s a little exagerated.

Ive seen plenty of warlocks, that said im maining holy paladin since legion to make amends for my earlier Demonic lifestyle

Legion’s affliction was best warlock spec ever, absolutely fitting what i would call warlock fantasy. Only pre TBC patch lolguard speced warlock comes close, but that lasted only month and even got nerfed half way. Current warlock state makes me really sad, so my oldest character is colecting dust somewhere in Boralus or Pandaria world bosses spawn locations.

Last 3 pug Raids had at least 4 wl in it, and another 3 queued, same to myth + so there are enough wl out there.

Thry are all in arenas, Destroying fun in pvp.

I main two warlocks - one alliance and one horde. Both are in Destro spec at the moment. It’s one of my favourite classes to play.

For PvP i prefer to play one of my 8 other 120’s because they all have better mobility than the lock. I haven’t decided on a new main yet.

When I started warlock back in Vanilla I imagined summoning and controlling big kick-asz demons.

We even had a ritual at that time which killed one of the five participating players and summoned the Doom Guard!

Guess what happened? Ritual was removed along with all the rest. Demon form went to DHs, cool animations to fire mages. Nothing was added to the class since Vanilla.
