Before starting, no this is not a QQ post, just wanna know if someone knows something 100% about this. Is this mount ever becoming available again?

I mean, Horde won the competition but long term it actually lost, because now it is not obtainable anymore while the losers can still get theirs for 100k which is relatively easy to get nowadays… Seems unfair imo. Now I am aware that because of legal stuff and whatever the mount was supposed to available temporarialy but maybe there is some way to get around this? Like idk, if you buy the Alliance one you also unlock the Horde version just like the racial mounts?
At least if that mount was to not be available anymore, then the Alliance one shouldn’t be too I guess… Idk, just my 2 cents on the suject. Would be nice to have it available again tho.

Yeah I know it doesn’t, sadly. But I think that could be a way around it. It would kinda be annoying to have to create an Ally toon and farm the gold just to get the Horde version, but would be better than having no way to get it I guess…

Its not going to come back. Actual legal reasons.

Im not expert on such matters, but wouldnt it be ok, if they just… you know, recolor it and call it something else?

Yeah, I’d be fine with it and probably the rest of the playerbase aswell, don’t know how would that go legally tho.

If anyone can explain the details around the legal reasons, I’d be interested to give it a read. Been wondering about this.

Is it even that good looking to want to bring back? Don’t the Horde have other bike mounts? Like the goblin ones?

Altho I do like the Goblin ones, and I am using one right now, the Warlord’s Deathwheel looks so much better, plus the sound effects are less annoying aswell.

Well it does look unusual, a mix between a motorbike/tank/quadbike (Death wheel) - sorry this was meant for the OP xD

This was a blue post about the matter from a while back.

There are a few unfortunate legal obligations that have halted a release of the Horde’s Deathwheel, from what I understand. Something about <insert legal jargon about prizing>.

Again, an unfortunate circumstance, but I’m not sure that anything can be done.

I’ll bring this up again next week and see if anything has changed since I last asked about this a few months back.

I voted for the Alliance then, we lost by few % points.
Horde went: YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I logged in, got both bikes anyway.

Weird how the winners have two different perspectives:

  • Exclusivity = rarity = more value
  • Exclusivity also = cannot get anymore, bye bye

I’d love another chance to get this, it is really annoying that the alliance variant is still available. “You can’t get kodos any more, mechano-striders though, just outside Ironforge”

But alliance bike isn’t as important because we lost.
Anybody can get it, thus not as cool as the horde one.

But I agree that they should bring back either existing stuff that you cannot get anymore or future rewards.

who cares if you lost the vote, your bike is still there, the fact that you even have a bike on both factions makes the vote itself completely pointless
