Warlord's Deathwheel

The original design was made by some bikers, and not Blizzard and I guess this is where the legal reasons comes to play ?

or something like that

I guess it’s the difference between people who want to feel special by having something exclusive and the ones who think the content should be available to all. I for one, in other games where I had exclusive content never like the idea anyway, I saw people who joined the game too late and couldn’t have the same stuff I had, and made no sense to me. But alas, different perspectives…

Blizz should do this like ESO does.
Every year they bring back temporary content back for people to work for, but its limited amount of time so you may not get it when its over.
But they always bring up new rewards every year on top of it so you gotta juggle how much work you wanna do :stuck_out_tongue:

I would be ok with that, people still have a shot at it but have to work harder? Seems like a reasonable trade off

If anyone wants me to drive around them on it and gloat, hit me up

If i remember right me and guildies were voting for horde one so we could get both. Never remembered to buy alliance one though, always remembering it when these threads pop up.

Gotta admit, the Alliance does look quite nice too, if it had a different color scheme I would probably like that one more, but the gold accents are a turn off for me

Recolour and rename wouldnt work at all its the actual design the bike itself not a name or a colour .
If they changed any of the pixels it wouldnt be the same bike thus pointless.

Well the idea just need some little modification. Instead of recolor and call it something else, adjust the model a bit? Remove some plate piece or something else. Its not the same design then anymore, right? Enough that it is clearly different, but preserving the ā€œlookā€.

You need a wholesale change to get around what the bikers designed then it wouldnt be the same bike .
So people would moan about that then start whine about horde bias about getting a new flashy design bike just for them.
You know how these forums work its bad enough atm with so many on both sides fighting about bias and the constant retail/classic fight aswell.
The whole forum is so negative with only a very few bright lights to keep it going .

Possible ways of coming back:

  1. BMAH with the price tag of millions of gold
  2. Time gated behind multiple reps / achieves / PvP seasons
  3. In dreams which will never come true <— most real

No, the Alliance ā€œbikeā€ is not as cool because it looks nothing like a bike.

It looks like a snowmobile at best.

It’s hideous in both in-game and real-life version.

The whole show made me feel like those guys building it haven’t been properly introduced to the theme, hence the tank threads on both bikes, dudes probably thought it’s some CoD-like theme :joy:

They should just add a proper Mekgineer Chopper MKII or something.

I don’t want a snowmobile, I don’t want a trike, I don’t want a mobility scooter and I don’t want the IT.
A bike with two wheels and proper handlebars. Can’t be that hard?

the back wheel should be bigger than the front wheel to keep things interesting

Which should’ve meant you could get the Alliance mount for 100k only for the duration that you could get the Horde mount. Because how it is now It’s more like the Alliance won.

Never saw logic in giving a losing side an advantage of having this mount.

I think the logic was that winning side gets something unique that is not freely available out of the contest time. It doesn’t feel like winning for those who come in later and that mount is unobtainable for them, but to be fair why should you then get reward for contest you didn’t participate? Alliance bike is less valuable for the very reason it’s still available and because of this, is less special.

Leaving special things aside. Question is - why Horde model was legal-issued and Alliance one wasn’t. So someone form Horde biker team wanted more money and Blizzard said : ā€œLol what ?ā€

Which, in my opinion, should have made the Alliance mount only temporary aswell. You lost but you could’ve bought the mount for 100k within a certain timeframe. It should never have been forever.

That would have nullified the whole idea of winning mount being something unique that will not be available later. If alliance one would have been temporary there would have been nothing special about horde one. Now alliance one is bulk vendor mount anyone can have, while horde one remains unique.

Fair argument but I never understood that uniqueness logic. Are people so desperate to feel special that they need to have special/unique stuff on a virtual world? I say this as someone who has/had unique stuff in other games and never felt like it was a good thing to begin with… I mean, most of the time people that have that unique stuff don’t even use them regularly or at all, they are just sitting in the collection, while there’s other people who would probably use it daily or regularly because they like it or whatever other reason but they can’t have it. Then again, that’s just my opinion I guess…
