I am leveling a hunter right now on the horde side as you can see but I wonder if it’s good to level a warrior now?
I haven’t reached 60 yet despite the game ahve been out this long now because i can’t deside what class I want to play, alliance or horde and the races. I also got bored and haven’t played for a few months and now when im back I think I want to level a warrior.
My plan at first was to level a hunter to 60 and they gear up, get gold and then level a warrior because I could buy gear and send him so it would be easier to level.
But now I want to level a warrior to 60 and experience everything on him.
Is it worth leveling a warrior now when the game have been out for this long?
Should I continue with my hunter?
How are warriors at gold farming?
Go for it,if you really want to play a warr not a hunter at 60 you’ll be more inclined to level it instead of getting your hunter all the way to 60 and then starting again.
As a side note, I notice that tanks are no longer sought after in raids. Since there are only 2 tank spots in raids usually, there is a surplus of tanks (not in the case of dungeons, though). A lot of warriors are asked to become dps by their guilds in order to get a raid spot. That might work for you, as warrior dps is one of the highest in Classic.
By all means level a Warrior. Check the price of herbs on the AH, you can likely make a lot of money with low level herbs (Wintersbite, Grave Moss, Fadeleaf, Goldthorn).
You not leveled hunter ?? Well with WARRIOR and Yer leveling pace TBC will be out before You get 60 on warrior
Warriors are WORST class in game for farming anything
comes from 15 year of Maining warrior 400+ days played retail and 45 or so days played in classic.
Pvp without Healer You are a Honorable kill for most if not all.
Pve in classic no spots for tanks in raids but you always find spot as dps warrior. Just a note You will wear mail and leather in to BWL. Like 3 descent pieces of plate dps gear in whole mc.
look, warrior is not that bad that this guy tries to make it look like.
you can very well win 1v1´s, even against your hard counter aka mages if you use engeneering, potions and other items like spider belt or sleeping powder.
the thing is that a warrior without those items/professions lacks to break roots and cc on range, making it almost impossible if you have a decent playing mage.
youll have to put in more time, effort and preparation to be as successful as other classes in pvp.
shamans, rogues, hunters, warlocks (except SL), paladins and other warriors are very well killable in 1v1 without a huge effort or use of consumables.
A common myth is that Warriors cannot farm. Incorrect, pick up a gathering profession either Mining+Herb or Mining/herb+skinning and you’ll be able to make a lot of gold even at low levels. There’s less supply on the lower level herbs and quite a huge demand for it. Even with mining you can make quite a lot of gold - Coarse, Heavy and Solid stone always sell and will often go for 2g+ per stack and even the ore/bars can sell for a decent price, especially if there isn’t many listed in the AH which can happen at certain times of the day (off peak). I’ve sold stacks of Tin Ore for 1g+ because people are too lazy to go out and farm them and just want to smelt it to level mining faster.
Yes, Warriors don’t have the farming potential of a Lock, Mage or Hunter that can do DM/ZF/BRD farms at 60 but you can still easily make a ton of gold from gathering professions alone .
So go for whichever class you have the most fun on, pick gathering professions, don’t buy anything unless you really need it and sell everything - once you’ve hit 60 and have a good supply of gold to sit on then switch out to a profession like Engineering or make an alt to do other farms with.
Make yourself an alt to mail anything you can sell on the AH, download Auctioneer and scan the AH every time you log in and you’ll have no problems accumulating gold.
I did this on my main and I had over 300g by the time I hit 40 and I was playing Lock so having that free mount left me with a lot of spare cash up until hitting 60 and gearing up.
