Warriors and charging in combat – help

Warriors atm cannot charge in combat and I had assumed that my memory of being to during vanilla WoW was a false memory; and that the ability must have been added later (although my memory of using when I was tossed into the air was strong).

However, I have recently come across this page
hxxps://wow.gamepedia.com/Patch_0.9#Warrior:

It says the ability to charge in combat was added in patch 0.9

Charge can now be done during combat, but the target must still be within the 8-25 yard range.

So have Blizz changed our ability or is this page and my memory wrong?

It’s during the beta phase. If you see patch 0.10 it says “No longer usable during combat.” It remains that way until patch 5.0.4.

Patch 0.9 is before Vanilla. In Vanilla warriors couldn’t charge in combat.

What your memory tells you is probably Intercept, lvl 32ish ability that requires Berserker Stance.

That is called “Intercept”.

It was always the case that you would zerker stance → intercept → def stance the bosses throws.

FACEPALM

Of course you are right, thanks all

There was at one point a bug in vanilla where canceling blood rage would drop combat, allowing you to charge.

But yeah now you have to intercept
