Was a bad idea šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

So what there’s just no hard content in WoW at all?

The timer is doing overall nothing till a very high key level. I am a main healer and i for sure are not stressed about it. The damage the group gets, especially the full time unexpected damage is.

classic and tbc had tiered content… could do it like that or you do the same boss with less people more loot per person or better loot drops as a result of doing it with less players… not a fan of doing the same boss on a different difficulty and the mechanics are completely different… also two people do the same boss but have vastly different experiences, seems wrong…

So in order to have any challenge from raids we’d need to drop from a 20 man guild to a 7 man guild?

It does

Purely subjective goal. For some it’s to see the raid once, to reach a certain ilvl (very popular one) or to beat a certain key or raid difficulty.

Final boss of mythic is yes, and that’s a fault in wow but a design choice to fuel the RWF sadly. nothing they will do about this, not a chance.

It’s an mmo. It’s supposed to be a carrot-on-a-stick style gameplay to keep us subscribed.

Let’s say Dragonflight goes back to the TBC style in terms of raiding: one difficulty, you beat it and you beat the current content. No M+. People would beat it day one and just quit or raidlog.

isnt there currently a decline in healers?

could do…or bring back 40 man raiding that drops down to 20

And mechanics would also have to dumbed down to a point where everyone could do them, and no new mechanics be introduced with difficulty levels that actually make the fight interesting. There’s a reason every single raid release on classic WoW has fallen over in under a day.

could have mechanics to require a small group or a couple of people to do certain tasks… would then make the fight harder with a smaller group…

Yea because we now have professional wow players, which the game shouldnt be designed around

For most fights it would make it easier because you have less points of failure. Any mechanic that might be harder with less players would just never exist because those would be too complicated for the average (True average, not average of the current higher end raiding population) to even attempt. People are really, really bad at this game and if you want ā€œEveryone to get the same experienceā€ then it has to be damn near unfailable.

id prefer inclusive content that brings players of different skills levels together… if people are really that bad then i dont really see how they can enjoy wow in its current form at all…besides not all the raids would have to be easier just the first few similar to tbc raiding.

The people doing heroic in modern wow could do black temple in their sleep, let alone mythic.

You’d never get this though, people with higher skill levels would want to do content without lesser skilled players because they want better gear and don’t want to be dragged down by them. And if you remove content that skilled players can be challenged by there just won’t be skilled players left.

can have both inclusive and challenging content… i love challenging content like the mage tower but when it comes to group content it get a bit too frustrating…400 something pulls on mythic nzoth… meh get me out of there… never again

Sark was max 200 with a kill time half as long, bliz seem to have struck a balance between challenge and enjoyability since then that feels much more amicable.

Heroic was also puggable by weeks 2-3.

Not sure why that is relevant for why healing is stressfull. I only debate it is because of the timer. Our role is to keep the group alive. That part is stressfull in the current expansion. The timer is completely irrelevant.

Step 5: Let people realise these new changes are so terrible that they don’t actually wanna play WoW any more and they can cancel their subscriptions.

There. Fixed it for you.

I’m with you on step 1, dungeons to me don’t feel rewarding because its strongest reward doesn’t come form the dungeons, it comes from the vault
and its so much more powerfull that the actual dungeon loot feels a bit meh (by design because they can get more time out of you chasing the vault then chasing actual in dungeon loot)
over the past few expansions this problems wasn’t just not adressed; it was made worse.

Rest of the steps are a ???
if you don’t like dungeons just don’t do dungeons

probably a good change but still the same formulae yet again 8-10 boss raid, 4 difficulties, once a week vault drip… raiding is great but just too time consuming… m+ and pvp is too stressful… the game imo needs some balance in time and stress.

So do heroic or normal.

All I’m really hearing is ā€œGet rid of thing I don’t do because I don’t want to do it.ā€
