Sylvanas is somewhat right about about the human-Orc relationship
There are still Alliance humans who feel that every Orc alive today must atone for the first and second wars.
In character as an Orc born on Azeroth after the second war my answer to that is to go f yourself i will not apologize for something i had no hand in especially not after dealing for years with one world ending threat after another.
And the daily arguments and comments on this board alone prove it.
She does kind of cherrypick her examples and I’d say that that’s something you could respond with if you were in Saurfang’s shoes
We’ve had the Shattered Sun Offensive, where Draenei and Blood Elves cast aside their differences and came together for the sake of basically Azeroth, fighting side by side to resecure the sunwell and hell, Velen even bothered to turn it on again, something that was most beneficial to the Blood Elves at that time, which today has lead to the Blood Elves casting their fel fuel aside which will probably have more beneficial results for the Blood Elves as opposed to leaving the sunwell faded
The order halls, where the faction leaders weren’t heavily involved in but did see the hero’s of both factions muddling through invasion after invasion, suddenly human fighting alongside orc wasn’t unthinkable in the face of a threat to great to be tackled by the factions (which felt like kind of a mini shoutout to the MoP cinematic)
The siege of orgrimmar which saw the Alliance respect the Horde’s right to handle their own problems while Wrynn had every reason to tell the horde to buzz off when they asked to be allowed to punish Garrosh themselves rather then letting the alliance deal with it and hell, the alliance not just culling the remains of the horde then and there
Individual cases like the human hunter that attended to Vol’jin’s funeral, albeit hidden somewhere behind a rock as to not attract attention
People.
There is a huge difference between a forced Cease-fire during a world Threat that Forces the Two Factions to work together and peace with no Enemy as a Factor.
We can only Look to AU Dreanor how that will End.
One-Side will try to consume the Other.
Eventually the Light Religion of the Alliance or heck the Insane Void elves would lead to suvh Attempts.
You Cannot compare True Peace to Previously cooperations between the Race’s.
Sylvanas’ Authority is Absolute in Military matters and the Bigger picture of the Horde.
All she Seeks is to end a threat and Gain dominance of the World.
And possibly kill and Raise all who suffers from being alive (Seems very unlikely though at present)
The Horde Fights for a world where They Rule and not the Alliance.
And Thanks to Anduin’s shortsightness( the Light forged and the Void Elves) and Sylvanas’ Madness?(Teldrassil)
Has now made it a fight for Survival.
That’s what she say to the Horde. She consumes the Horde with her whole Undead thing. It’s a lil bit different from the scenario with Garrosh where you just where threaten as “lesser race”. I mean the Blood Elves also just joined the Horde cause they doesn’t feel worthy to join the alliance. It was nothing personal. All races are just humans which looks different.
The part where the Blood elves did not fell worthy to join is wrong, they felt they where treathed as cannon fooder by the alliance when they where in the alliance then they left the alliance to survive not because they did not feel they where not worthy to join the alliance heck they where part of it, they left because of their survival, then we have them talking about joining the alliance again but in the end turns it down.
some Races of the horde does not have very found memories of the Alliance because they got hunted or used as fooder for the war machine, there are also some that had no real beef with the alliance but they own their survival to the horde in some way.
simply put the only way there ever is going to be real peace in the world between ally and horde is by having another threat that mange to dismantle most of both factions and have a new threat come in closely behind that forces both faction to rebuild but because of the losses from the threat before they need to rebuild together, that is the only way i see there being real peace between the two factions(basically remove both factions from the equation and make a new single faction)
Not really, there is always going to be the odd abuser in every race, every fraction, every order and so on. If the Blood Elves left the Alliance due to abuse then they would do exactly the same now as Sylvanas is just abusing the other races of the Horde to protect herself and her interests. Like they almost did against Garrosh.
The only Horde race which has merit to them being “hunted down” are the Darkspear Trolls on that island, by Kul’tiras who wasn’t part of the Alliance until the Horde forced them to join again.
There really never be real peace, there will always be them people to abuse the system.
This still gets to me as it was Lordaeron and Dalaran(One is Horde the other is neutral/friendly with it) who paid and cared for the internment Camps. But lets blame Stormwind, which was nothing but a pile of rubble back then, for it anyways because freck reason.
Also Quel’thalas wanted to put every last Orc to the sword, but thats convienently forgotten to!
the Horde is not locking the Blood elves up or sending them on suicide missions, that was what the alliance was doing and how far they had to push them before they left.
getting put to the sword is not really against horde honor so they would have nothing against it(at least how i understand horde honor), its is part of the war to get killed, the camps are a different matter all together as it removes the honor and dignity of the captive.
dont place morden morals onto them, its not fair for any of the races to be judge with that standard in any way.
right now human life is valued almost above everything else, the races in wow are not using the same set of morals and values as we do in real life so they should not be judge by them but the once the story has said they have.
That is what Garithos was doing and he hardly represents the entire Alliance. Especially when Kael didn’t judge all the Humans for it shown by his interactions with the jailer of the Kirin Tor.
And I’d argue this war with the Alliance is sucidal from the very start as it relies on some splintering of the Alliance to even stand a chance of working which didn’t happen.
She punished Baine for the Treason he did?
(His actions were morally in the Right on a personal level, but still an act of treason)
Apart from the battle of the Undercity.
We don’t really see other Race’s made to do much forsdken warfare.
Above the majority of Horde Fights are done the old Fashioned way.
You Of course have the Battle for DarkShore, which is well mainly a Forsaken Army there so’ of course they fight like Themselves.
There is not really this: Overtaken you are Claiming.
Each member still Fight their own way, the Leadership themselves are not exactly Above execution or imprisonments.
Dude, only she have the right to say what to do. She even breaks the ideals of the and of the Forsaken. Her “remember your loyalties” is nothing else then Garroshs “I am the Horde”.
