Maybe you can talk to a profesional?
About developers who cant bother to figure out the lore of the game they are writing?
Probably not.
No, about taking videogames way too seriously.
I don’t mind it tbh. I think it adds rather than subtracts from the established lore for the rebirth of the Wild Gods. Knowing that they could always come back eventually made their demises unfortunate but not exactly impactful, but now there’s a genuine way for them to be lost forever.
“We gave guardian’s and feral’s unique utility to the popular druid specs while not doing the same for Innervate. Guardian is in a worse state than most other tanks and the only one without anything against magic attacks. But there still some wanting to play bear. What shall we do?”
“lol, just kill of Ursoc for good”
Some guys at Blizzard probably
But overall it was very good, I really liked it to the point where they chose to sacrifice Ursoc. I don’t really like sacrificing charas just for a tiny bit of Lore for an expansion.
Thats a very humorous way to look at the complete upheaval of lore again.
That was ursoc there.
You know, the wild god that enabled druids to transform into bear form?
This is yet again BfA’s tree burning where taurens stood in line, then went to defend the under city with blight throwers, then raised as skeletons despite of the fact that their rites and beliefs forbid it 900 times over.
Sorry, but this was kinda a bit more than being “impactful”. This was once again a TNT stick lit to undermine the lore of the world.
So, does this mean one less wild god in the world?
Now I feel bad for killing him in Legion…
Ursoc was the patron diety for Guardians yes but they didn’t need him to transform into bear form, it’s hardly a lore ruining revelation. You’re over-reacting by a mile.
Wasn’t it part of the main chain though? To get the Tears of Elune and all that.
The “defender” seemed like he drank soy?
If that character was a female it would’ve been cool.
Name checks out lol
Those souls which are left without Anima aren’t dead(as in dead dead), they’ll just won’t awaken until they’ll start being fed Anima again. So I think Ursocs soul isn’t gone just dormant.
What’s your source exactly?
I wouldn’t say I have a Source, I’m not the Writer of Shadowlands. But as this is the afterlife of WoW a dead spirit can’t just “die” in its own Afterlife.

We will see wether or not after the Ardenwald campaign if we can safe or regrow the lost groves. It is a story of regrowth and rebirth after all.
The Afterlife Stories are just the beginning, the status quo where we as placers arrive. The state where the Winterqueen and all others simply don’t know whats going on.
Afterlife cinematics aren’t the end of the story. So it might be possible. Also what could be that we yet again see Ursroc being a raidboss in a dustr raid after they found him.
I mean nobody said souls can’t be destroyed. And the short plays it out like Ursoc does actually die for good.
Sure could be wrong but this is the most likely of what we’ve seen so far.

Thats not exactly how it works.
Worgens dont learn to be a worgen either. You are literally infused with the spirit of Goldrinn.
So yeah, that was the spirit for bear form which was just drained of anima and offed right there.
Wayyy better than Maldraxxus one.
