Hello, I just want to start a topic to reach out to blizzard.
We have a system to increase xp gained or 0 xp if that still exists.
Currently I find the base xp gained from a new alt to be insanely fast from the get go and by no means an I asking for this to be changed.
I would like blizzard to let us choose at what XP rate we want such as various selection of like in order to slow down the amount of xp gained.
10%, 20%, 30% and so on of the base xp or rate, I personally prefer leveling in order of the expansion releases and going through the zones but when the only option to level is blasting through them isn’t fun.
Without changing the base experience, please add additional options to how we wish to level by a simple toggle in game.
This won’t hurt if people want to level fast as it currently is but it’s nice being able to slow down and experience fuller the old expansion zones ( but blast through shadow lands by default)

The only way is to set XP to Zero in Chromie time but I would not recommend it. With revamps to Timewalk you sadly do not get Bonusrep from Quests of this Add-on anymore if you are below 60.
But I do not wish to set xp to 0.
I wish to reduce it from the current base rate as I consider it too fast.
I am hoping to see if blizzard can consider it as it should be easy to add in all honesty.
Heirlooms don’t really give XP gain like they used to, only on rested.
I’ve always thought for those that want a slow journey they should make a tabard or something that gives people slower gains.

I will be happy which ever mechanism that do this with really.
Leveling options be nice that of course doesn’t break the current system.
Surprisingly good idea from you.
I think it’s a great idea. Last time I levelled yet another priest via Chromi time I wanted to do the whole of MoP but the xp rate was so ridiculous I wasn’t even halfway to finishing it when I had to leave. I would love to have been able to do the whole expansion with my xp crawling rather than racing along.

Yep, I was wanting to do more of tbc because one the scaling system is amazing to do the dungeons especially.
Blizzard has amazing zones, let us experience them properly with choice.
Turn off exp gains, complete the zones you want, then turn it back on.

While its never something i would do, i support having it added for people who want it, it shouldn’t be hard to add an npc where you can chose an xp modifier between 0.1 and 0.9.
This sounds pretty good. Leveling on retail atm is not working at all in it’s current state, for those of us who enjoy leveling. It seems to be aimed at those focused on endgame, though I assume they would have liked to skip leveling all together.
I support this. Maybe it would have worked for me too, as the fast speed leveling on retail goes at atm is one of the reasons I’ve gone back to classic for leveling instead.
yeah i’ve heard too many complaints like this. there should be an option but please don’t make it slow for everyone blizz. they wait so long to do something and then they always over-do it.
The joke is, Blizz actually want you to quest in MoP when you are already level 70 cause the +50% Rep buff from Timewalk (Pandaria) is only working for Level 60+ which is when Chromietime stops working.
Yeah I don’t wish for the current rate to be adjusted.
Just give us options to the rate in terms of how slow we want.

What are you looking for?
Expansions where not meant to be leveling zones from 1-60 (or 10-60), so there is no original leveling speed.
With the talent revamp it is even difficult to get an appropriate level of power, because a lot has changed.
This seems like the best aproach, as you can identify an appropriate power level for yourselfs and halt while in the zone and continue, when you think it’s time.
While I would not be opposed to a modifier via NPC or item, I think stoping XP-gain at choosen borders comes close, as both are a choice for reduced leveling speed.

I believe the scaling system resolves the issue with power.
As I said in my post, just options to reduce the rate of experience gained from all sources like a toggle.
I’m not asking to be made weaker per level, or turning off xp.
I believe the system for stats and scaling will take take care of that.
Just blasting to max level really fast on Alts with no choice seems strange
So you just want to be slower only to be slower?
I think in terms of a consecutive experience Chromie Time made a good step, as you can quest through several zones before you reach current expansion level. And if you want to finish the expansion the XP stop is a solid option.
In terms of scaling the devs mad a good job at keeping the opponents at a decent power level for most levels (sometimes they feel more difficult after leveling up than before).
In fact this is the issue I have with current leveling and scaling. There is no progression when leveling up, because you opponets scale with you. If you are level 12 or 58 killing the same elite is very difficult, you can’t work towards that one level to overpower the same opponent (while leveling). That’s what I miss compared to the non scaling world back then.
Iverall I like the current state - I have several chars in different expansions to complete the zone questlines while curretn level - and I might stop the XP if I would come into current level range.
So I don’t get what being slower offers, when the numbers 10-60 are irrelevant because of scaling.
It is too be slower yes as it’s an option to go through each expansion more slower and within pace of themselves and not the whole game.
The current rate already provides experience for those that just want to get to max level and to the df campaign.
Stopping xp isn’t great as we want to gradually level just like the rate of older times, again to add this as an option as opposed the base standard.
It’s not great but majority of players want to level fast to do end game, slow levelers are a minority and Blizzard will do what the majority prefers.
Mean a toggle isn’t hard to add
