Pretty much the same logic that was used on every single q&a we had so far ( logic)
And maybe not give anything for having it just on but putting in a really good rewards and benefits for engaging in pvp combat. Loot from enemy corpses you canāt get anywhere else, big xp or ap from kills. Could even add those bonuses for dying in PVP combat alltough making them bit smaller so there would be more reasons to actually fight. Maybe some sort of corpse tokens you get if you get killed in world pvp that you could use to buy stuff from spirit healer (and perhaps adding some xp for dying in pvp combat as well?).
Iām sure when the new races launch they will drop the war mode bonus and neither side will use it.
The Alliance created what many nicknamed Hordemode. Even the Q&A revealed that the numbers were pretty balanced in WM at the start. I even said this. We used to see the Alliance when out and about questing, then they started to vanish.
But by all means carry on with the endless Horde bashing.
if it was 1v10 reward for fighting against the odds, thats fine, your rewarded for a hard time. unfortunitly its 10v1 reward for fighting with the odds stacked in your favor.
Itās a non stop train of parties of five, which of course means multiple parties of five roaming zones to kill 25 Horde. We are their quest mobs and nobody at Blizzard cares as long as their statistics look good. Never mind that itās just ridiculous to go anywhere or do anything on a Wednesday and then they all just skulk off into non WM. This week is having a longer knock on effect as I think a huge chunk of the faction want their welfare 400 ilvl item. Especially as it will be this week only.
You have to remember everything is Horde bias in the eyes of many Alliance posters.
We Gnomes fought valiantly for our non-radiated air. You rotting meat bags donāt even need air!
I think it works fine really, the horde has had their 10% buff with no real danger for quite a while now. As long as WM stays a safe place for them, they wonāt turn it off. Since wednesday its actually the Alliance dominating places and alot of horde whining they cant get their free 10% buff ( the same way the Alliance couldnt make use of that buff until wednesday).
The pvers that turn it on for just the free buff with no dangers will leave and eventually the free item for the Alliance will get removed, making their pvers leave.
The surge of Alliance players was needed very much so imo, no matter where they came from. Because the horde pvers will never leave if its eternally the horde corpsecamping the Alliance.
The patch name āTides of vengeanceā makes alot of sense with this change in Warmode. Iām certainly having my vengeance and relieving myself of the frustration of fighting 1 vs 10 until now
Meanwhile over on the āRPā shards, where Alliance outnumber the Horde. (70 % versus 30 %)
They still get the 30% buff despite massivly out numbering the Hordeā¦ Which would be cool, If I had anything Alliance I wanted to level.
Q and A was best.
Supreme leader hazzikostas gave you everything in your window.
He said, you dont like WM, then too bad turn that off and save us your self righteous noise.
Unless you are Alliance then we are going to buff the heck out of you and throw gear at you to get you to play WM but if you are Horde, you donāt count.
I would agree with him if they didnt remove pvp servers for the sake of this abomination
You do realise that in no time your ranks will be filled with overgeard casuals that doesnāt pvp or raid, but because of the shiney they think they kan.
Canāt wait for that rants to begin on the forums.
Chain 5 man groups, camping FPs, WQs and Zerging are all infuriating but within the rules of the game.
Multiple groups camping Spirit Healers so that players rez and are insta-killed, effectively ending their āsessionā is griefing pure and simple.
Not crying, hasnāt happened to me yet but anecdotally has been happening since the ilvl400 item reward / 25 man kill became a thing.
Were you saying that before you got your free gift?
I never encountered someone that camps spirit healers tho, the only ones that spawn there are the ones that take ress sickness. They do not count for honorable kills or the quest
But yeah if people camp spirit healers it might be closer to grieving
Landing at FP you are not an honorable kill either
so it was all going all well until alliance just decided to vanish for no reason?
obviously thereās a reason they turned it off, and we all know the reason.
if numbers were close to even, the 30% simply wouldnt exist
This is what has been happening:
They have 2 groups minimum sometimes more.
One group camps your corpse the other group camps the Spirit Healer.
Even if you take rez sickness you are killed at the SH.
Paladins can bubble hearth if they are quick enough.
EDIT: @Punyelf -
They donāt care about honour kills they just want the 25 kills or to greif.
The reason is Blizzard messed up sharding. Then the balance went as the Alliance abandoned WM.
