There will be a huge reset in lore, which is good if you ask me. Everything is a mess.

With Azeroth revealed, there isn’t much mystery left to Warcraft.

I just hope they don’t unite Horde and Alliance. I like the faction system.

Filler = I dont like this expansion.

Frankly the game provide content for like 2 months per season .(at least for me )

As a casual player i stop doing delves 8-9 week since there is nothing to obtain from doing them …and mostly satisfaction of playing a game .

M+ ?? I reach 2.7(almost ) k on main and that’s all . I don’t bother for gear especially with the vault lottery system and going for higher score is … Nah …

Raids the same …
You have Lfr…normal…heroic and of course the pinnacle mythic … People get burned by having so many difficulties at the point after 2 expansion i stop everything .

In 4 months almost i have like 11 kills bosses on Lfr and that’s all …

New seasons …new ilvl …the same rotation with dungeon …

Is a copy from Diablo series with each season you get more powerfull but playing the same …some new items and that’s all .

The game has lost it prestige when they merged with Diablo Team …or better when diablo team took over the wow team putting all the arpg ideas to an mmorg.

You know how bad decision is for the game is when classic feels 10x more alive than the current retail .

Can we pls not use real illnesses as buzzword with negative connotations.

“For people who can’t move on” would have been enough

Tah is actaully right with this one.

This isn’t life it’s a game that has an ongoing cost, if the money has more value than the game does in it’s current iteration, then stop spending the money.

All financial transactions are a matter of worth, does the product offer you more value than the money or not?

That they may be (or indeed may not be), I don’t know anything about them, however it doesn’t change what they said in this specific instance being valid.

When the fun stops, stop.

We might not always align with our opinion and views but from what I have seen until now he always acts like a nice person and often has interesting views on things.

And in this case I agree with him. When something does not bring you joy anymore and there is no change in the foreseeable future stop paying for it. That will always be the best way for us customers to show our opinion on a product

I feel that Tah, given that they have almost no interest in Mythic content (either keys, or raids) is just unhappy with the state of the current end game, and like many others have given up repeating their feedback until blue in the face, at a stone wall of ignorance from Blizzard.

While Blizzard at least feigns interest in raiders and the m+ community, they continually give nothing to PvP and world content players.

Anyways I wasn’t making an attack on him. Just an observation.

But he seems insistent that people should leave that’s all.

I feel Blizzard needs to be careful, the tide of people putting WoW down seems unrelenting, and if they make changes that would of stopped them leaving later, it will be too late.

Very few people keep up with the news of a game they’ve stopped playing.

I will not agree that it’s a filler. I think that the storylines are interesting. And while the road to get to the Last Titan will of course contain stories on a smaller scale than Last Titan itself, I think the road there is important and makes sense so far.

But I liked your comment because I agree with the production quality being rather bad. And the thing with passing torch to one’s daughter… I swear I noticed that without reading any comment online complaining about it. I just read every single quest to know what’s going on. And this stuff is mighty annoying. Because it reeks of ideological engineering rather than storytelling.

More examples of this are with Genn Greymane, or even something they are very unsubtly building towards with Bolvar’s daughter.
You know, most modern games and movies that push this ideological drivel fail, because the “strong female characters” are insufferable arrogant pricks who are proven right by the writer, thus making the unfortunate implication that you should behave like them. And they often defeat the old leader male characters in a very hateful and nasty way. Despite the male characters are rarely even wrong in those instances.
In WoW, at least those female characters are not as openly insufferable. They write them to be and act all nice and pleasant. And the male characters pass the torch willingly and gladly.
So it could be argued that there is no problem there.
But it’s really creepy when you literally see it every other quest. I think if I listed all times it happened, the list would have at least 300 instances. When we had include all the small characters in side quests.
And more importantly than how often it happens, it feels really nonsensical. That’s the more irritating part.

Baelgrim passes torch to that female character saying: “You have to lead!” She says: “Why? I stand against everything you stand for?” And he replies: “That’s exactly why you have to lead!”
What? That’s like Trump passing torch to Hillary Clinton. Willingly. And thinking it’s gonna turn out like he wanted.

Another example is with Magni and Moira. Yes, I buy that looking back, Magni regrets sending Adventures to kill her husband. But all the dialogs around this and the overall story forget one very important nuance. He was the king at that time. And Moira was kidnapped. And she didn’t bother trying to contact his father telling him she was fine. What did she think was gonna happen? It’s not all on Magni.
And TWW makes it sound like one of the biggest failings of Magni was not taking care of his grandson. But when he was the king, he didn’t know he was gonna have a grandson. He thought his daughter was kidnapped, possibly imprisoned, tortured, or worse. And then when he became the Speaker of Azeroth, I doubt you can blame him that he didn’t spend much time with his grandson. Because many apocalyptic events were going on that required him on the front lines. The female mindset behind the writing doesn’t seem to understand the burden of responsibility in any other context than in family context.
And worst of all, after the campaign beat us over the head with the lesson that Magni should have been a better grandfather (despite parenting is usually the burden of parents, not grandparents), and after he is released by Azeroth from service… Now when he has literally no role - he is neither the king, nor the Speaker - he returns to Ironforge and leaves his grandson behind.
What??
What was the point of all that then?
And then we had this quest that his family hammer, an important artifact, is passed on Moira. And it’s because Magni wanted it like this.
Why?
He gave up all the roles he had, and passed them to Moira. What will he do now? And why did he do it? Was it all just to punish himself for that Dagran senior incident, that he couldn’t have known in advance was gonna go badly for Moira?
What will Blizz make Magni do next? Collect minerals as a hobby in his old age?
Do they not understand men or leadership at all?

I mean, the Earthen council changed all male members to females during the campaign, except the one character that is so boring, flat and infinitely malleable that he has no real function. He goes from “we have to uphold the edicts, that is our way” to “we have to throw away our edicts” in a flash. It literally happens during the colossus Titan robot quest, and he changes his mind for no reason. Just because the female council members told him to. He never had any reasons to adhere to his previous position, and he has no reason to adhere to this new position uncritically either.

That being said, if I step back and look at the overall story of the expansion from the distance, I like it. But the details are just infuriating. The details like the actual dialogs, or certain characters and their weird choices. If you make summary without mentioning the specific characters and lines, then I think it’s an ok story. I like where they are going with it. And I think it honors the themes and storylines of the past. I don’t feel much retcons happened here (disregarding Shadowlands). So that’s why I am still rather optimistic.
Yeah, these new young female leader characters are a problem. But I think they are characters who will hopefully not have a big role in the important conflict to come.
Alleria might, but I think she’s ok. The storyline regarding her is rather basic, but it’s at least not nonsensical so far.

No they’re not. Also; could you specify which characters you’re talking about here, because from my point of view there was 1 (one!) such character in TWW.

I’ll echo Moira, but also include Faerin Lothar.

There’s a moment in the story where the blacksmith has come up with a far better design for her prosthetic arm, but Faerin is like: “I have no interest in it. I am not ashamed of my handicap. I don’t see it as a burden. Blah blah blah.”
And you and the blacksmith are standing there going: “Eh?”
Because it makes no sense. If any soldier in an army was presented with a better rifle or tank, they would take it. It would be asinine not to.

Blizzard has a tendency to write these characters in a heightened manner, but when you take a step back and just assess what’s going on, it always appears so stupid.

The same ones OP mentioned. Plus the ones I mentioned. And I think I explained why I thought so in detail. It’s the nonsense of the decision for the story to treat them as better, while they are not. Or that they just didn’t earn that position. Being a better leader is not merely having one better idea. It’s way more complicated than that. Also testing that one idea is done rather haphazardly.

For example, I think that throwing away the Earthen edicts is a very sudden and shortsighted decision.
Yeah, we as players who have access to the metanarrative will know that it’s the correct thing to do. Because we already know the story is heading the way that we will have to defy the Titans. But the characters don’t know.

My issue was that when that happened, none of the characters present even had any reason to think that Titans were bad. Titans were the cornerstone of their religion, their culture, their purpose. And their decision to give up the edicts was mostly influenced only by “well, I want to do my own thing, so I will”. That’s a rather selfish reasoning. Not a virtuous one. You completely throw away purpose and responsibility, and treat the current state as dictatorship. Which again, may be the case, but the characters don’t know it yet!
Other than that, that decision was driven by the way they forced Stormrooks into servitude. But I think this storyline was laughably bad. Because we never saw any difference between the old and new treatments of the rooks. When the Stormrooks were given a choice, they still approached us en masse and gave themselves up willingly, even after 20000 years of supposed slavery. And we never saw them being abused before that either. We didn’t even know what it meant.
And in any case, that felt like a very small event to suddenly change the course and culture of an entire race.
It would make much more sense for the Earthen to decide to brake away from the Titans only after they discovered those messages on the Titan discs. Then you could have some more serious discussion about potential lies they were told.

Also, the writers treat the abandonment of Earthen’s entire way of life as absolutely positive with no downsides. When I was playing through the campaign, I thought it would end with them uniting the oathsworn with the unbound. But instead, they forced all oathsworn to become unbound. With no build up to it. It happened very suddenly. And I don’t think it was obvious that everyone would be ok with it.
For example, what if someone found meaning in his life by fulfilling his edicts? His function? Then by taking it away forcefully, you take away their reason to live.
And all the female characters thought it to be self evident that they have to abandon the edicts, and that following them was evil. My point is it was literally impossible to tell with the information we were given at that time of those decisions.
