We Need Fresh Era (GDKP)

GDKP is allowed on Era, people love ‘fresh’ so release a fresh Era mega server (PvE+PvP) and lets see if people play on it or not. Let the consumer decide!

Or even better, traditional realms without layering! Obviously without QoL changes. I love era and the traditional way of playing. Not a big GDKP player myself, but I think players themselves should be allowed to choose how they distribute loot :slight_smile:

GDKP should be implemented in game as loot system by blizzard. At the start of each raid, make a ready check to accept GDKP loot distribution, you can only bid as much gold as you have on inventory. When boss killed auto auction is started by game client highest bidder get the item and game server keeps the pot and remove the gold from bidder. At the end of raid, gold distributed with respect to performance which is again calculated by game server. Only by this way, we can avoid Scammer, greedy and goldseller GDKP leads and their friends.

Sign up should also be automated, you sign up on LFG tool and you are required to put some gold to sign up that raid. If you dont show up you lost deposit.

All that can be controlled by Game server / Blizzard. But sadly they don’t care to bring such system. Master loot should be removed from game but it won’t happen.

It is also better to NOT have GDKP instead of having it with its current state ( SCAM ). 90% of runs hosted by greedy gold sellers who make their living by selling gold in online game. They get 15% management cut and it is huge. Also, they find a way to deduct your gold, and they always invite first their guildmates, irl friends as pumper. Most of the time you can only join as mix / buyer. They start garbage items 3rd bis, 2nd bis from high amount of golds.

I aggree gdkp with blizz loot system, but i would not preffer gdkp with master loot.

24h after launch it would collapse as people rolling there would have way to high pressure of being behind and missing on that one hour of UBRS runs in 3 weeks.

This is getting bit absurd. What happened to people that they can’t stand gearing longer than “now”?

Define tank and healer performance.

Considering Blizzard is million dollar company with a lot of high end developers everything is just possible.

For example, In a raid everything can be recorded and each raider can be awarded with a point between 0 - 1000 with respect to their play. CPM, mana management for casters, number of sunders for DPS, TPS for tanks, HPS for healers all can be included in this point system and the pot is divided with respect to those points.

They can even keep the system simple as alternative and give extra cuts for tanks at the start of raid. In addition they can implement better Loot distribution for SR raids. Why we have to use 3rd party tools like Gargul and sofres.it in a billion dollar worth , paid subscription computer game ? They all can be actual parts of the game itself.

Matts and BoE 's can also be divided to parts by game automatically. When you get Sulfuron Ignot instead of master looter, everyone gets 1/40 of it and can auction his part or farm other 39 to make 1x Sulfuron Ignot. Same for epics which are selling more than 1k gold right now in fresh classic.

We deserve better loot either GDKP or not, better loot is required and that should be provided by Blizzard or Microsoft which are Billion dollars companies.

Even back in 2009, as early as Ulduar, I’ve frustrated the other healers in the raid as a disc. And disc shield spam wasn’t even fully implemented in Ulduar back then. In contrast to 2022.

And I don’t even mention Paladins.

Blizzard would have to define proper tanking or healing for any kind of rating, effectively removing all freedom, any creativity from game play.

Who would want to play such a thing? You can’t call that a game anymore anyway.

Everyone blindly follows guides nowadays.

They paid for Restedxp, they paid for boost, gold and gear.

Players are no longer there to play.

I’ve seen this suggestion before, and to me it’s hilarious because it shows people focus on the wrong thing. I’ve had very tasty parses ‘winning’ the hps contest, esp on hpally, but it means degenerate healer gameplay tbh lol. The only people you impress with that are the ones who don’t understand how healing in a raid actually works. Number of dispels and proper mana management (which varies between the different healers) are often better indicators of good teamplayers. Competing healers are a pain in the bum from a raidleading perspective, and emphasis on hps fosters that competition.

So the healer with highest HPS is automatically the best healer in your optic? If this get implemented, no healer will dispell anymore. Instead every healer will spam heal all they can - ignoring their assigned target.

that is an example, I dont claim highest HPS is the best healer. Game server & AI can consider other things like overheal, dispels bla bla. There is no limits to things that can be taken into consideration. Problem is master loot and it has to be changed and changing it or thinking a solution about new loot system is not my job.

Maybe blizzard should remove all BoE and matts from raids and award those items to attendars equally at the end of raid so that avarage player can actually farm his consume gold out of raids.

At the current state, hosting 1 time Molten Core brings you about 3-5k gold. Attending 1 MC on the other hand causes you to lose around 10-100g and if you are not the leader you get 0 gold at the end.

Number of gold spend per raid will increase because of inflation and harder contents in the future like aq40 and naxx.

People will quit. No one going to farm 1million mobs to afford their consumables before each raid.

No, and that IS a problem. The only way you can measure a players performance is by looking at DPS/HPS/Dispells etc. - but you can’t see what role the raid leader gave to a player: did he kite the mob correct? Did he stand in the correct spot? Or was he just afk’ing the entire fight?

It is in theory a good suggestion but impossible to implement in reality.

Everything is possible, even AI can develope and include those roles. Problem Blizz don’t want to do that, they keep going with Master loot scamfiesta.

So they should program surveillance instead of the game?

This is actually a good suggestion. Let’s remove all boss loot from dungeons / raids. Let the mobs randomly spawn materials and make those personal loot.

Then enable the professions to craft everything required. If you don’t make the crafting too complicated, it will be even more fun to make the things you need.

Additionally this is more fun to those, who like to trade, either directly or via AH. So it is good for player interaction.

There is no such thing as “Fresh Era” server. There is only one Era, and its beauty is not having to do with the endless hype/fresh/rinse/repeat cycle of death imposed by Blizzard.

We play in Era servers - Because we have a lot more time than “now” to gear up.

Great idea, get all the lazy peopel that loves pay to win and loves bots messing up the economy on their server all get together one one and maybee we can get a bot free server with people that don’t buy gold and so no need for bots.

Just need a slow Classic server with phases of 3 to 4 months each, knowing that it would take 4 months before the start of MC and onyxia will cool the goldsbuyers/RMT/Boosted players.

Maybe the intention is to keep the oven super hot at all times, if there is money to be made.
