So? It’s exactly the same for your or Puny’s experience. xD
Player loot was a nice experiment while it lasted. But what we have now just works better overall. It’s always best to go with what contributes positively for the majority.
I don’t like GL in Pugs either. I simply don’t get loot any more.
The only way GL has worked is in a guild environment because basically they treat it as ML. A council decides who gets what.
I’ve had to gear via M+, catalyst and vault mainly. I’ve had very little from the raid itself. Even the LFR sets which I like to collect I had to rely on the catalyst mostly. Thanks to some gear from the Emerald Dream weeklies etc across several chars I managed to convert a full set. Tbh it’s how I’ve collected most of the looks but I’m not done.
I’ve actually been so disheartened with gearing, that it is impossible to get what I need from doing the content and that I have to solely rely on the luck of three slots in the vault at this point, that I’m pretty much on a break. If my guild are short on numbers I will help in raid but other than that I’ve barely played.
I loved PL. I got gear under PL. Being with a bunch of randoms who all hit need, the odds are always against me. I will always roll something like a 17. I hate GL.
We freely traded loot under PL. Some guilds even treated it like they do now. That all eligible drops that could be traded were traded. They’d use RCLootcouncil in exactly the same way as we do now.
I think this is what it boils down to. The two sides will never agree.
And good grief having your imposter in this convo is confusing.
Like I said:
But it is factual. GL leads to toxicity, conflict and annoyance much much more than PL ever did (remember that I’m exclusively talking about LFR here - I can agree that for premades and whatnot, GL is probably superior).
I wonder if it qualifies as trolling.
It should. I report each and every post I see made by an imposter.
Come on lads, rally behind this, don’t go in infinite circles. Rally behind this and make it your cause. Push it on twitter, wowhead comments and all the forums. Make it rain posts and threads.
Make this call spread to NA and beyond.
This is the only way you get what you want from LFR/LFG content.
Trust, this do be the way, now do your part!
namecalling, insulting appearance, mocking laugh emoji. well done. truly a class act.
No thanks to personal loot. Personal loot in lfr frustrated me extremely. Nothing more frustrating than people literally being afk the whole boss/run still getting loot sent to their mailbox because personal loot decided to reward the afking leaching behaviour
Its so true the amount of drama going back to “roll for your loot” has caused and how frustrating its made LFR is wild.
Is it you?
Did I hit a nerve?
But hey, let’s address your accusations, shall we?
There’s no namecalling. I just stated a fact. Someone who tries to harass someone else online and hides their online identity (which already is fairly anonymous) is a coward.
Insulting fantasy races is a crime?
This forum alone is full of hatred and mocking of various WoW races.
Kind of a stretch to make that into a character assassination, isn’t it? -Because to be clear; that is what you’re doing. You’re trying to demonize me. Unsuccesfully, I might add.
Mocking? No. It conveys my emotion.
That’s why they’re called emoticons.
So… Yeah.
who it is you’re doing it to is irrelevant as far as the rules are concerned. you know the things youre so often so loud about? but keep it up. let people see your true colours
See above (I was editing my earlier response while you posted this). Your accusations are nonsensical.
I’m not breaking any rules. Go bother someone else.
youre suggesting the players are actually real life gnomes? interesting.
that’s exactly what it is regardless of the motivation behind it.
certainly open to interpretation. will give you that one. but considering the rest of the post and your overall tone? uhuh…
you certainly seem to think so. but that’s not for me or you to decide.
Funny saying that followed by
Your part of the problem. The best solution to this would be have the tmog roll separately and the winner gets the apperance
In a way, yes. But since everyone has a different definition of what “need” means and most people do roll need on everything , I just go with the game’s ruling: if I can roll “need”, and if I need an item for transmog, I’ll roll need on it. If it causes enough problems and complaints, hopefully Group Loot will go away. That would make rolling “need” on everything part of the future solution.
There is another realization I arrived at: Nobody actually needs to gear up in LFR. I geared up a new alt by questing in the dream and then doing low M+ keys. This gives you good enough item level to get into normal raid PUGs. It takes a little more effort than getting carried through LFR, but it’s feasibly do-able by everyone.
But there is only LFR where you can get LFR transmogs for some pieces. From this perspective, needing transmog in LFR is a greater need than upgrades from LFR.
I play the game, unlike a lot of the posters here. I got 7 chars all over 460 ilvl, with 2 chars 485+ and 3k rio,so I know the reality in the game better than most of the casuals here
Group loot is cancer, period. Theres not a single pug or lfr run that I run, where people are not complaining about it
1.Everyone and their mothers rolling for absolutely everything
2.Nobody gives away unwanted items as opposed to personal loot where more often than not, people were rolling unwanted loot
3. People selling items they won and dont need, guildies queueing together to loot tunnel because the system alowes rolling in lower ilvl items, people getting kicked at fyrakk 5% and all types of shenanigans
The excuse of “i got unwanted items under pl” ,doesnt hold. Because when ur 1-2 pieces away from bis,no loot system is gonna help you fill those missing rings/trinkets fast. Its down to rng on rng at that point
Guilds are handling GL the SAME way they were doing it with PL. No change there.
I raid in both pugs and guild environment and I know that GL is toxic and promotes bad player behavior.
So basically the loot systems isn’t the problem, it’s the players
Arrogant and doesn’t matter, ilvl and io are irrelevant while talking about LFR, actually while talking about pretty much anything; and with 15 years of playing WoW on in avarage 10 alts, I’ve seen more than enough loot distributions with ML, GL or PL to judge those systems.
Jup, that’s what PL also does in the background - everyone needing on everything, no difference there - there are only advantage with GL: some ppl have the decency to pass/greed on an item, so your chance to get an item increases.
Not in my world. With PL ppl barely ever trade, you had to scroll though chat to see who got what, most of the time ppl have left the group before you even find what you’re looking for. Even if someone announces an item to roll, half the time it goes to the wrong person because rolls aren’t well visible (or people don’t know how to type /roll to even “bid”), now available loot and winning rolls are actually handled fairly by the system.
I did a lot of lfr and pugging for my 7 alts so idk what youre talking about. I mentioned rio for context ,to make it clear that my experience in the game is complete starting from lfr to high end gaming, and im not just speaking out of my …,as most people do
From my experience, people will stick to their personal opinion on the matter and are unwilling to change it,so from my pov, this discussion is over.
P.S.
My game experience comes off arrogant only to insecure people.
