I agree with mercenary mode under 1 considion - free transfer from alliance to horde 
why would I play alliance if they do that? Why not playing horde without any downsides?

Or just let Horde transfer to Alliance to even out the population gap… 30min per game is unplayable.

Whenever I queue I just play something else on the side like Hearthstone or Rogue Legacy 2 or simply make dinner, do the dishes, anything really. Its not a big deal to me

From Shattrath it takes you literally 10 sec to fly out into the world and farm. Your choice, herbs, nodes, primals.

Do you know how it feel for “the other faction” having to get ganked 1v5 every single time you are in the open world, have underpowered racials, not being able to stun or fear most enemies in pvp encounters, doing worse in PvE because of racials?
Literally the ONLY good thing about picking alliance is the BG queue times, that’s why horde has mostly undead and rogue players. I’d say it is a good trade.
And one last thing: BGs don’t matter much in TBC so why are you crying even? Get your gear from arenas and pve. Or if BGs are what you care about, play alliance.
And if you want to QQ to blizzard about something, tell them to remove racials in instances+BGs+arenas. If you had the honesty, that is.

unlike other probelms this is a 100% player made issue that can be fixed by the players.
both are good options, but server transfer need s to be included also and its pretty safe to assume thats not gonna happen.

Hard no to faction change
Not all horde did this, but the horde that made Alliance lives miserable in P2 because of mass outnumbering shouldn’t just get to switch out of the one disadvantage they have.
Live with it or re-roll.

We should have an algorythm that enables cross faction bgs after 5 min queue time, that way it’s still benefitial to play alliance since they get insta pops, while it wont feel horrible to farm out honor on horde as you will have about 5 min queue time before you can face another horde team.
I think this would overall benefit new players that would want to get into pvp, that play horde and make for a bigger participation in arenas as getting your off parts from bgs is pretty much mandatory if you got any goals in terms of rating.

- more ally need que for BGs or less horde que for BGs
- more horde reroll ally or more new players join ally.

It will not. Because most players won’t reroll just to get shorter queue times!! It’s not up to 1 person either in the majority of cases… You also need to get your friends over there as well. It’s stupid af to say that this can be solved by the players…
Yes it could be solved by the players IF Blizzard open transfers to Alliance faction. Me and my friends would gladly transfer to Alliance, but no way everyone could spare the time to re-roll Alliance and loose all character progression. facepalm
I dont get why they dont just open paid faction transfer. If they were worried about further imbalances, only open this service for the faction that has higher population. Aka, let Horde have the option to switch to Alliance. Then we can say that they actually “choose” to be stuck in this queue. Many people roll horde just because they wanted to play with friends, then got stuck there after friends quit. Doesnt really have much to do with stronger racials or w/e.
Personally I play horde, and if a paid faction service was available I would easily switch to alliance. My only other alternative at the moment is that I plan to not plan the expansion alltogether because its just a waste of time waiting 30 min per game, and I’m not interrested in starting all over again and farming gold and all that crap.
Summary: Allow paid server transfers from high faction to lower faction as per server to create balance and true player agency of what they want to play. If they still choose horde after this option, then there isnt anything to complain about because its your choice.

Then are you against to open transfers to the Alliance faction only? This will increase the Alliance population since many would go there just for shorter queue times.
By doing this you solve population gap, and make the queue times better for horde at the same time.

I completely agree with allowing horde to transfer to alliance. This is a win win solution for both players and company. We get more agency, company increases their profits for this service. Can restrict it only to going from whichever is most populated in a server to the other faction, and not the other way around to not create further imbalances.

and female bloodelf players are all girls IRL thats why horde is superior in that aspect.

Yeah, to me it’s INSANE they have not done this already… If 1 faction is less populated they can control it by faction change to the smaller pop faction.
A majority of the pvp pool have to wait 30 mins is not good for anyone. People are just getting pissed, some people quit the game etc etc… My friend just quit over this recently, he came to TBC for PVP and just found out these ridiculous queue times.

most private servers offered free faction change and some perks for alliance like increased honor or something and servers were still heavily horde favoured for the most part.
free faction change is not gonna happen , we know blizz. paid faction change is not gonna change anything. most people wont faction change on servers that are heavily horde favoured. i certainly wouldnt.
