This is no how it is being worded on the forum, if you read any of those threads. No one ever mentions fun. People mention the gear, and the requirement to have it (also questionable) to do competitive arena.
As I wrote in the original post:" I say ‘required’ here considering the retail min-maxer boys, ofcourse you can also just go into arena and rack your 10 wins at low rating."
Blizzard is actualy killing it’s own game. This is a crual thing to expect but they will probably don’t do anything. The more you wait the longer you pay. If there is no drop in TBC hord subscription, then no change will be made cause they will continue not give a single shmekle.
Then the queue times will normalize automatically, because if (and that’s a big IF) people leave over this, it won’t be from the faction that has instant BG invites.
Nobody cares about faction balance anyway, most of the time players join servers with high population of the faction they want to join. It’s sad but true. You’re usually high horde low alliance or vice versa.
People pretend like this would be so important, when in reality players simply dont care. It’s just not 2007 anymore.
Same as for layers. People always tends to group one in one place. With friends, guilds, and so on. In modern time, they even group up with a streamers.
People rolled Horde en masse first in classic, then Alliance get redpilled on PvP servers and rolled Horde too for tbc.
There is nothing that can be done now because game is museum run so no changes.
Only thing that can be changed is retail. But I wouldnt hold my breath.
Give Alliance free server transfers, give Horde paid faction changes.
How we got into this mess is irrelevant, we’re in it. Blizzard has consistently shown they will make changes/fixes to keep the game #nochange.
As I keep saying, Fixing one factions problem while ignoring the others would be plain wrong. Both factions issues are caused by players ‘choice’ regardless of when/why they made them.
Alliance aren’t ‘gatekeeping’ Horde, as lets be honest with ourselves, if Blizzard wanted to give merc mode Alliance tears wouldn’t stop them.
I post in these threads as I hope that both Factions’ problems can be included in a solution.
It would be easier to speculate if we could get accurate realm pop data. Ironforge.pro goes off of raid logs. Which, IF, ally is so heavily pve dominant would make the faction balance on servers even more obnoxious.
