Probably because we aren’t russian?

Your video is either blocked or broken, OP.

If you can prove that your permanent residence is in none of the sanctioned countries then you may be whitelisted. If you cant then Blizzard wont give you the benefit of the doubt and restrict access to subscriptions and other paid goods.

However since you stated this:

How about you explain what you mean by that.

I thought I was reading double EU in your title cause I have more than a few drinks but you actually wrote two EU in your title. You might want to edit that idk.

Also, can’t see the video; unlucky.

Yea, sorry everyone. I was very drunk that day, so made a lot of grammar mistakes.
I just wanted to say, that there are a lot of rus speaking people, who live outside of Russia, including in EU. But we play on RU servers.

But, since Blizzard have banned Russian and Belarus players from payment system, servers became deserted. LFR queues sometimes take ~1 hour. And all other stuff like AH missing goods e.t.c.

And the question is, why us, people who have never been in Russia, should pay some consequences for such Blizzard decisions?

I see 2 must have solutions to choose:

  1. Free transfer to any English servers for RU servers characters.
  2. Reunited LFR and AH between RU and EU servers.

No, on the video which was banned, was just young Russian pop singer, who is singing a song about that he is Russian. Song is not related to the war, and on video he is just sings on a rock concert. Have no idea why this video is blocked.
I have removed it.

Not sure what you are talking about. RU region have more than enough players, I’m seeing a lot of RU players in M+. You can pay with gold for gametime so its not an issue also. Region-wide AH also never excluded RU realms.

Most of the people I play with that have “cyrilic characters” (I interpret that as RU servers) are actually from Ukraine. So unless you want to transfer to one of their majority servers and get involved in the drama of RU/UA I suggest you do what everyone else does (in their private life):

Deal with some war nobody here is responsible for, and suck up the consequences with our own money.

If I were you, you dont play the game to discuss politics, neither do UE players, and neither do we.

Just pay for a transfer or restart a L1 char in a UK server. Its sad but hey, it is what it is. And don’t ever mention you are Russian. Stay away from that drama.

If you live your whole life in another country (I presume also born there), and have no plans moving out - consider changing your nationality to w/e country you are living for the past X years. I assume you lived there for 10-20-30? years, so you should know local language perfectly for exams. And being born in a country really helps in changing your Nationality.

You chose what server to play on.

Blizz doesn’t have to do sh*t to fix an issue that is completely outside their control (aka russian servers being depopulated due to the war)

I think he meant queues

@OP - best bet would probably be transfer to an EU/UK server. I know a Russian guy in the m+ community that i’m in, and he has no issue playing

Yea, I do have Nationality of my country where I’m living in. But my mother was Russian and father was Ukrainian, so they gave me Russian language. So, I know 3 different languages, but I thinking in my brain on Russian.

Its actually in their control. Those servers being depopulated not because of the war, but because Blizzard decided to punish Russian players by banning payment system for them.

When I came in 2007 year to play WoW, I was playing on Shadowmoon server. In 2008 Blizzard have opened Russian servers, and have allowed to convert accounts with cheaper subscription. I was a student at those times, and decided to do that, because why not?
And the thing is that Shadowmoon population was ~90% Russians. So when they have left, population became so small, so that Blizzard have opened free migration from that server for everyone. And later server was deleted.

Since then, in our current days, I have 12 characters max lvl on one RU server. Population on that server have been decreased so much that we have ~90-100 players online only. And like I told before, also LFR takes ~1 hour. Playing the game makes me feel like this is solo game, more and more often.

So, I think the right decision for Blizzard would be to open a free migration back to EU.
Or maybe reunite regions.

Well obviously international sanctions against a rogue government are something that Blizzard are at fault of. They should cease this as soon as possible.

They don’t get to pick and choose what sanctions they take part in. It is not in Blizzard’s control.

They are adhering to the sanctions, by blocking the services.

If you have not been in russia - why you claim yourself russian? Also why did you move to russian server then? It seems that you are actually russian that lived his whole life in russia, making false statements now in case to whine on forum that your terrorist state was isolated from normal world. Don’t like it - don’t play the game or go stop your government and people who have taken the arms and have gone to kill Ukrainian people instead of people who have given them crime orders

Siergiej, shouldnt you be now helping your Kkomrades instead of playing computer games ?

I don’t really understand a problem OP stating. I’m russian myself, but live for more than 5 years in Germany now. It was a zero problem to change account country back in the days via support, providing them some papers with prove I’m actually live in Germany now. Zero problems with payments via german PayPal. Zero problems with playing both on English and Russian servers, except the need of changing client language all the time.

  1. Free transfer to any English servers for RU servers characters.
  2. Reunited LFR and AH between RU and EU servers.

I don’t see a big need here, because russian-speaking servers are still decent populated. Basically everyone, who wants to play in russian language plays there. It includes the whole CIS region and other people living in EU. AH is already a region-wise. Group Finder (pugs) is already region-wise. The only missing bits here are open world players and queued content (LFD, LFR), which are language-wise. If you really missing that bits, it’s always easy to create a new character on the server you need or just pay for transfer.

If you live outside of Russia and can prove it – you can request a region change for account. Usually they ask proofs like electricity bills on your name. If you can prove it – they will switch you to destined region with unlocked payments in this country’s currency (or nearest if your currency is not supported).
