So on Nef ias a hunter its best to be swapping to a second bow each time a class call is inc
which is an easy /equip / equip wep swap macro
issue is, once that second bow breaks, the macro no longer works. For some reason you can manually equip a broken range wep but you cant macro /equip it?
is there a way around this outside of having yet another spare bow…
like a line to put in the macro to force equip a broke item?
I think the better approach is to always make sure the (1,1) field in your bags is empty and simply write a macro to put your bow there instead of using a throw-away.
Bring a repair bot and don’t bother switching at all. Easy.
Erm. repair your bow when you can. You can drag a bow into your bars and click on it. I don’t think you can change things while in combat.

Nathara] - is it possible to do that but then still equip the bow from another slot? as that might work around the issue of it not equipping a broken item
its more beneficial from a dps pov to use the spare bow as you want to give yourself a bit of lee-way if DBM timers are very slightly off
Last time I tried I couldn’t. It may be different with ranged weapons.
Talk to any warrior, from 2hander to sword and board in a macro depending on what class their up against/what cooldowns they have available to them.
My best solution back on the day was just manually do it… and if your stuck go farm a few crappy bone bows from scholo, and then even if you get two class calls in a row you’re still good to go… after that… you’re THAT hunter who’s standing next to the rogues…
I have the weapons (2hander/sword and board) as Icons on my actionbar. Then I can click or press numbers - maybe a macro could use Action bar numbers?
PS. you can always change weapon, but not armour, whilst in combat.
