Weapon Vendor in Hall of Legends selling Phase 6 Weapons

because the power difference between R14 now and non R14 now is way higher than the power difference of R14 then and the other available items then

And how do you get non-PvP weapons, exactly. Fishing?

raiding obviously. Compare mageblade to available R14 weapons back then, and mageblade to available R14 weapons now.

./rolleyes

nothing to add, are you admitting defeat?

The mage chest have 0 spelldmg before the buff.

spell dmg is not that important for pvp, espec for premading, i rather have high stam than spell dmg, that item is better for pvp than T1 or T2 chest

Yeah so a green Chest with +30stam is better then the rank 13 gear. Nuff said

r13 chest pre nerf is 30 stam and 25 int, it is way better than anything you can get till AQ for pvp

Who cares.

the only people arguing that pre nerf weapons and armor are not good enough, are those that have a very limited understanding of vanilla, including blizzard.

Don’t worry, it’s only 0.001% of the playerbase. It’s not like the blue gear is any good, according to reddit.

the blue gear is extremly good, litteraly bis for mages in pve till AQ

Ye head and shoulder for setbonus. Not the full set

The full set is better than anything available till aq for pvp for mages

And that should not be the case??

The nerfed version*

Not really

In phase 3, Ringo’s Blizzard Boots + Mantle of the Blackwing Cabal is better: 74 SP and 1% hit vs 53 SP, 1% hit and 1% crit

In phase 4, Bloodvine Boots + Mantle of the Blackwing Cabal is still better: 53 SP, 1% hit and 2% crit (assuming you have Tailoring) vs 53 SP, 1% hit and 1% crit

In phase 5, once you get to swap out either pants or chest for their AQ alternatives, the PvP set duo actually becomes better. But even then…

Mantle of the Blackwing Cabal + Enigma Boots: 62 SP, 1% hit vs 53 SP, 1% hit and 1% crit.

Yes, at this point the PvP set is better, but only by a minor margin (assuming you weigh 1% crit somewhere between 15 and 20 SP, the difference is not higher than 8-9 SP). I doubt it’s broken by any long mile.

There has never been a policy of progressive itemization from Blizzard - they stated that they’d release the 1.12 PvP set from the start, and they stated so long before Classic even launched.

Nobody will even hit R14 before phase 3, likely. And if you compare High Warlord’s Spellblade + AV offhand vs Staff of the Shadowflame, the difference is again not that big. More than enough justified by the huge R14 grind, if you ask me.

So essentially the set intended to keep pvpers competitive with Naxx raiders.

At the current rate we’ll probably start seeing the first r14’s emerging by Feb, thereby turning these people into unstoppable wrecking machines overnight.

Should be interesting…
