AQ is here, too soon in my opinion, I want classic for years and we are going to finish the game before 2021, but it is another topic that has been discused enough.
The problem I see is the lack of gear, specially melee weapons. After clearing BWL weekly since the release, in my guild we’ve seen 1 CTS and 2 maladath drops, most of the warriors and rogues are still raiding with dalrends, krol blades and a couple of viskag and dbs, is a little bit frustrating.
Got exactly the same drop rate as you (not even one Lokamir or BRE). On the other hand, melees dont need better wpns, they are already doing insane DPS - its just frustrating I guess
We are farming bwl from day1 and got only 1 maladath and 1 chromatic, 2 untamed and 0 crossbows. Fortunately we got (at the very least) a lot of staves and 3 scepters.
We’ve had the same luck in our main raid.
1x Maladath
1x Crul
0x Dooms Edge
2x CTS
0x BRE
2x Spinal Reaper
Lokamir, Staves etc have been abundant, it’s the melee who struggle to upgrade after months.
Tons of Essence Gatherer (we’re pretty much DE’ing) and the other 2h Axe/Mace from trash.
0 bindings in 8 months. (truely sad & frustrating)
2 Full raids clearing MC weekly, and just started 2x raids in BWL, Mains and Alts.
I’ve had to resort to pugging BWL to gear my alt Sham, just to not starve the guild of items on mains.

@Lambo : I did 2 Onyxia and 4 MC in 4 weeks in a raw, I saw 1 Deathbringer, 3 Obsidian Edge Blade, 1 Staff of Dominance and the gun and bow from MC aswell. Maybe I’m lucky?
We’ve seen 1 BRE, 1 CTS and 2 Maladaths, (& 1 DFB) while clearing every week which is kind of sad for our sword rogues, but we’ve had sh*tloads of Lok’Amir, Cruls and trashloot axe.
I know another guild with 5 CTS but no Maladath. And looking at youtubers there are some guilds with 6 Sulfuras or 6 TFs already !
RNG babe ! (our RNG is hunter loots, if we had 8 hunters they’d still be full T2 imo)
90% of the reason to do R14. Warrior/rogue stacked raids are the meta, and weapons having the lowest drop rate of all items, it’s going to be a long time before every warrior and rogue has 2 solid weapons.
If you have cleared BWL once per week since release there is about 43% chance of having had 3 or more Maladath drops by now, and 54% chance of having 2 or more CTS. Your luck is pretty much as expected for those.
In addition there is a 46% chance of 2 or more Cruls, 51% chance of 2 or more staves and 41% chance of 3 or more Lok’Amirs.
There is nothing exceptional with the drops people have listed here, the dropchance is simply pretty low by design.
By the time AQ is released you will also have been clearing BWL and MC over a month longer than the world first Nefarian and Ragnaros guilds had in vanilla. Even if your guild have only done one Ony/MC/BWL per week since mid september (and release for bwl) you will most likely enter AQ significantly better geared than the top guilds in vanilla.
Out of those people only really want DB (if horde) and the bow. OEB and Staff of Dominance is rather unlucky.
Yeah with the droprates in vanilla you vant expect to be BiS each tier. There will be a few items missing every time a new patch goes live. And thats the beauty of vanilla. Each piece is worth so much more this way.
with my warrior, as dwarf this is a decent option .
