I donāt think i did anything wrong to justify a play ban, but Iām not gonna appeal either. as i said before my steam library is full and i bet they are less buggy than wow.

I actually got hit with a 7-day ban recently. I knew it was totally unjustified, so I filed an appeal right away.
Iām pretty active in chat on my server, and yeah ā Iāve got some haters because Iām kind of a known name there. But I was 100% sure I didnāt say anything offensive or inappropriate. No swearing, no insults ā nothing that shouldāve triggered a ban.
It took six full days to get a response to my ticket. In the end, they told me the ban was removed and wiped from my account history.
But guess what? I was already muted six out of seven days just waiting for someone to look at it.

I may have misunderstood you. I thought you meant a gdpr request to see what the offense could have been.

Out of interest is this your first offense? 7 days seems a lot.

as i said before i got a 7 day chat ban once and then this like 20 minutes ago, nothing else, i guess i triggered someone higher up with my posts here?

The forums arenāt moderated until Monday and its a bank Holiday weekend so it would seem unlikely. Nor would the forums affect anything in game.
You should have got some kind of category for the ban. Not that it always helps identify the issue.

i never implied a forum moderator had something to do with it, i donāt believe they even have permissions to do it.
it says āinappropriate communicationā, but the timing is shady af and i donāt care at this point.

Neither do I but I know the issue exists. And people also abuse the system since its implementation and just report you for the sake of it as the system will silence you after enough reports have gone through.
If Blizzard would punish false reporters (and we talking about reporting a message like āHiā) then it would be a different matter.

Edit because the thread got locked: We have confirmation through Nnoggie from Method that the system is infact automated as per usual and expected and people are currently abusing it with a modified addon on mass. So once again Blizzard, Vrakthris in particular, talking out of their behinds. The chat report system has been automated since WoD up until now and this has never changed.

Then something else is going on than the one thing that also came to my ears. I have received numerous reports of people getting silenced. Which happened today. So I suppose the issue lies on Blizzards end once again just like usual with all their automated trash systems.

Your points indeed have weight behind them .some people that I play have experienced same situation . With Microsoft pushing for ai it is entirely possible they have made the process automatic .
Only Xbox support seem to have living people handling customer service but that might also change in future.
If it is a 7 days ban and it takes 6 days for them to overturn it .then it is a failure in itself .
Plus they acknowledged that chat log is not stored for too long and hence they could not verify the offense in the allotted time .but they were very quick to layoff employees .
If this doesnāt reek negligence on part of blizzard then I donāt know what will .

I know you wonāt care about what I say, but many people can read what I tell you over here so even if you do not report me for me telling you the lovely truth others willā¦ and then I or you if you start ranting back get our 7 days free off time as well
The moderator just closed the topic and moved it to another section because the topic caused a lot of discussion, on the American forum people communicate much more actively.
I didnāt ask Blizzard to reply in my thread, they always write template replies.
I created a thread to discuss this situation with players.
