What can Retail learn from classic and what can classic learn from retail post

Sure classic is trending up on all platforms people lags becouse of hundreds of players in OG. Instant queue times for bgs, etc… Meanwhile retail doesnt hace more than 5 people in new zones. Last time i did /who for main citities and all bfa zones game didnt find more than 10 people in prime time and thats connected multiple realms at once but hey ClaSsIc DeaD iN twO weEks right?

The allys that group up to kill me is my best world content

It’s the same every time. It’s like he has to champion Classic all the time. He wont accept that the populations have dwindled on Classic from launch. That is not to say it’s dying but Retail isn’t dying either. It has a huge player base.

Even on busy realms sharding separates you out from others and can make zones seem empty at times. Dead realms will always seem ten times worse, that can’t be helped until they do more merges.

Say what you all will, I’m loving this orc’s passion.

Edit : I googled that and it seems it had " other meanings " … so I change it :<

Classic and Retail shouldn’t have features from eachother. They should stay the way they are right now. Otherwise it would be pointless to have 2 different versions of the game.

If you like more grindy gameplay, nostalgia etc. -> Play Classic
If you like more casual gameplay with some feeling of hardcore (High M+ , Mythic Raids and High Rated Arenas etc.) -> Play Retail - it’s simple.

Then you should make that clear in your post because that was not obvious.

Id contest that anyway. I group up for world content in retail. Just because you treat it like a single player game doesn’t mean everyone does.

Thing is we have prove that classic is trending up and fact it increased subs by 200%+ also say something. Meanwhile you have 0 evidence that classic have lost any signitificant junk of playerbase. But we have prove that retail is trending down on all platforms and you can also feel it in the game.

Tell me what will happen when classic will run out of content? TBC? I dont think so it would only split playerbase even more and players dont really want it anyway. What do you think Blizz will do keep all those players playing wow? Now imagine for moment thar classic have bigger playerbase than retail which is mostlikely true at the moment. I doubth blizzard will keep developing retail in same way as they do now. They will definitly start making changes to try get people from classic to play retail.

Pretty obvious lie there are often large groups near objectives in the world and never seen Boralus empty at any hour of the day on retail.

You do not need to make up lies to prove Classic is doing well, but so is retail there is more than enough people playing both versions for a healthy population.

Yeah sure thats why i cant find any single group for nazjatar champions. World bosses has max 1 group going and thats entire eu region on reset day. Hope you realize that all those groups what you see is entire eu region. For such large scale its pretty pathetic number when you can see far bigger traffic on classic realms and thats just 1 realm with no connection at all. I played both classic and retail. Classic feels 1000× more populated than retail in past 8 years.

It is not like i am some classic fanatic. I would also rather retail to be fun and proper mmo game becouse clasic is just old content. But it isnt. Its boring arpg with option to play with other players. Sure better gameplay, raids and dungeons but that mmo feel is completly gone. Classic is far more fun becouse of players. Like gameplay is garbage but thats not what makes mmorpg games great.

That’s because.

A: its late patch and people are done farming pearls.

B: Check on reset day for world bosses they have a weekly lockout people who do world bosses do them then.

C: Classic is smaller with less content meaning people are concentrated at certain hubs like afking at the bank / bridge or ganking people going to BrM.

You have some really weird ways of judging population…

Who does world bosses anymore? They drop nothing of value and you get better stuff in M+ without even trying.

I pray to god nobody in eu region is fooled enough to do world bosses and actually do content that will reward them for their effort instead of giving them an item worth 50g to vendor at most.

I did. There was 1 group for world boss in prime time on wednesday.

Majority of players doesnt do mythic+ or any sort of raiding above LFR

Thats weird because I had several almost full groups to pick from on a friday, starting to think you’re not being honest with us.

RIO sample size looking at class representation for this season so far is 3.894.802 people. Sure that’s not a majority, but it’s a large portion of the playerbase that at least does a +2. Even at that a +2 is worth more of your time then a world boss in todays wow

Yes for all regions including alts. And people do world bosses even when they are outgeared coz we still have titanforging.

Guess what also has titanforging? Endless M+ spam compared to a world boss that drops suboptimal gear for 90% of classes & specs

Jesus crist majority of casuals are lfr players. They dont do mythic+ or any sort of organized content.

Do you know Swifty? He was couple days back talking about how he had to sell gaming house becouse since bfa launch he lost huge amounth of wiewrs and his income drop like crazy. Since classic his wiers tripled and he reaches average 4k people warching him play classic compared to previous 700. People are not interested in retail and if blizz wont change something they will lose all those players. Classic showed Blizzard that retail audience. Or rather people what like retail in way it is now are absolute minority.

Sure, give me the proof and I’ll trust you that they don’t even do a +2

Retail > classic. The only thing classic has going for it is a end game which caters to players who want to put less thought into their game play =)
