Currently at 1k without anything to spend it on. I’ve also noticed how unfair it is that some classes can buy some of their end game epics with gold while other classes can’t.
A warrior for example can buy Lionheart Helm, Cloudkeeper Legplates, Stockade Pauldrons, Stronghold Gauntlets, Edgemaster’s Handguards, Myrmidon’s Signet etc. clothies also seem to have plenty of items like that, while I as a hunter can’t buy a single item.
I can only speak for myself but I would give it to my twinks.
im saving all i can for raid consumes… its boring af to farm gold
Hoarding it myself.
Invest.
Stacking gold has no value.
Being able to buy end game gear, isn’t neccessarily a benefit. 1k on lion heart helm, 600g on edge, 1k on black dragon set, 1.5k on enchants on pyrewood. That’s 4k gold on 5 items + all enchants. It’s been a nightmare farming that on my war.
You can send me some of that gold so i can get my epic too
Nah but id say raid consumables and pvp consumables. Save up some of that gold for pvp and for the future phases for whatever is coming
- Build resist set
- Buy consumables for raids (for you and for the guild bank)
- Boost alts
- Build twink(s)
- Help out friends/guildies
I invested mine in Orgrimmar real estate. Rent is going to sky-rocket with the removal of layers.
I expect ranking to 13 will cost me at least 10k, so, that
Im saving for to buy 100 arcanite bars that are needed for Thunderfury.
Alts are a huge money sink with their mounts and professions along with some boe gear, so that.
Send it to me, I have a character with the same name as this on your realm, who needs gold.
Or are you just coming here to brag?
If you aren’t into PvP I cant think of anything except T1 BoEs. The 3% hit enchant isnt that cheap either.
But if you do like PvP, it’s hard to be rich unless you’re really good I’d imagine. Im going to buy the pattern for Shadow reflect trinket at some point soon, but it’s around 100g for the pattern.
Make a twink on some bracket lvl for later with bgs
buy him bis everything
pwn face in lowbie bgs later etc
You can buy raid materials, ammunition, enchants and what not.
You can gear alts, you can make twinks. You could level a profession that’s usually quite expensive: do you have engineering?
You can afford to keep swapping between your raid spec and your pvp spec.
You know what’s unfair? That there are gold-farmers out there that play for 18 hours a day and have to hand over their earnings to their overlords so that rich Westerners can buy it for real money.
Maybe you can buy a life after spending 2 months playing a video game ?
What you do is stop wasting time on farming…
You do that for a purpose. If there isn’t a need stop.
One could argue other classes can’t do solo tribute runs.
Anyway, about your question, you can use it to make more planning towards future patches. New items will be available (Chromatic Gauntlets for example, although they’re a bit crappy) or will become more valuable so you can prepare materials ahead of time to have things crafted or expect a demand increase.
For example, some people were hoarding free action potions for PvP, either to sell or to use, and indeed as phase 2 approached prices went up (they’re not expensive, but people use a lot of them).
You can always collect recipes, equip alts, and so on, but obviously the moment you don’t want to buy anything, not even consumables, money has zero value. That’s how money works!
