What do you want most from the next expansion?

Lets see, i have a bunch of things on my wishlist

  • open world content with more than faceroll difficulity
  • challenges like the mage tower with awesome transmogs
  • class tier sets (i miss them a lot)
  • LFR and LFD worth playing
  • PVP gearing without rating
  • no chores for borrowed power increase, in fact just scrap borrowed power
  • more awesome transmogs and cosmetics to farm
  • talents rework (its boring and most of the time you pick whatever is best)
  • cool questlines like suramar and the nightbornes
  • Chromie time for max lvl chars with challenging soloable raids and dungeons and new cosmetics, mounts etc.

Separate tier sets for the content u do:

Mythic± tier sets focused on aoe damage

Raid sets- focusing more on single target or cleave damage

Pvp sets with pvp stats only and no more usless grinds.

Class balance pvp and pve every 2-3 weeks.

No more ap, anima, mission tables, legendary grind or thorgast things.

Max 2 legendaries for every class that have different uses depending on specs.

More dungeons like 10-12

1 new raid every 4months.

World bossses spawn randomly in the world of azeroth.

Everymonth we get yo try mythics from other expansion.

1v1 arenas for transmogs.

Balanced pvp around 2v2 also and no more 50 systems that are hard to balance and make some classes stop. Others in 0.5 seconds.

No more mega gods and some beautiful crafter vibrant zones.

Cross faction pve/pvp.

More rewards for healers and tanks! To few players try them and bcuz of this if unsont play one and have no friends its a waiting simulator.

Make guilds achievements and rewards better to incentives players stay in guilds and strive in them.

Reward them pve/pvp tokens if they finish a wing in a raid- 1token to buy an item from that raid at ur own choosing(except weapons)

There s much that can be done

Move away from CD based combat. The ”80% of your damage is done in in a very small window of time”.

More sustained damage. Fireball shouldnt be scary because combust is being farmed. Its damage should be the threat.

Legacy content lock out removed or made daily. My Invincible isnt exactly rare etc anyway. Adjust vendor value to avoid a new bot plague.

Mining/Herb nodes shouldnt be shared as they are. Enough with the druid bots running around saturating the market. The avrage player cannot make gold via gathering anylonger.

Remove honor cap and make it account wide. Just like honor level is.

One set of CQ/Honor with a unique pvp stat/set bonus. Rating should be for titles, mounts, mogs and to flex your large bag from shattrath.

Valor/Justice vendors.

•Spec based rank 1 title.
Rank one titles for both Pvp and the new M+ Should be awarded to the !!single highest rated!! played of the SPEC. So if the highest arcane mage is 2300 he should get that title even though the highest fire mage is 3300.

Different titles for 2s and 3s. Since 2s is the most played bracket - give it some more love.

Playing the objective in BGs should reward CQ points. Base assault/defense, flag cap/return, Orb return and cart held.

Ping/Chat wheel system like Dota2. To quickly heads up people in your group about something like:
•Move here
•Interupt
•Stun
•Push
•Help

Race/class fantasy enhanced.
•Sunwalkers more fiery
•Nelf priests more arcane-y
•Human paladins more silvery

(Could be toggled just like green fire on and off)

I want it to make me want to log in and play, not have to log in and grind in order to not fall behind on systems that are built on daily/weekly things.

New class that is mailuser, maybe Valkyrie/Amazon?

Or totally craft character that can get ALL the crafts. Would level up by gathering and crafting and maybe farming.

No super annoying timegates or monster level scaling.

More warfronts but now with actual chance to lose. Maybe competition warfront where both factions try to beat NPC faction, but who gets it first wins.

Gear scaling in Warmode. I don’t need ~250 ilvl gear to do casual open-world PvE content, so why should I need it for casual open-world PvP content?

Personally, I’d like QoL changes, mostly.
Transmog overhaul, more cosmetics options across the board, less restrictive usage of in-game toys, general model / texture upgrades that some mobs already got, applied to more of them, maybe even some zones.

Beyond that, a main driving plot or purpose for the expac that’s less isolated than SL’s is, would be nice.

I’m tired to save universe from big bad Thanos who try to conquer the world for no reason.

More story focus about:

  • Kingdoms, intrigue and betrayals
  • Focus on World activities (quest in all zones, new alliances to form)
  • Housing
  • Character Story (Lore, Family, Marriage etc…)
  • More darker environment (Maybe a long winter with the scourge which destroy zones and cities)

Again, i’m tired to be the Cpt. America or the Ironman which have always to travel with spaceship and time to fight the big bad guy. i want to be back to be an adventurer in a Fantasy world, and why not, maybe we can choose to be to be the good guy or the bad guy, mb we can choose to stay with the scurge or the enemies and conquer cities and zones i don’t know…

I want them to do less but do it better.
Less complicated systems, give us a new talent row.
Less convoluted story, don’t burn through a bunch of lore characters and locations in a patch like with Argus or Ny’alotha. Tell a simpler story that won’t require me to watch youtubers to understand. Less third party books to fill in the gaps.
Less esoteric transport systems, don’t create such obnoxious terrain that some new transport system is required to mitigate it.
Less mob density, concentrate mobs into areas of interest for quests / exploring. Have some free space to stop and look around occassionally.
Less Inter-Stellar / Inter-Dimensional travel. Let us catch our breath on Azeroth for a while.
Less mandatory Linear questing. These aren’t so bad on your first go through but feel horrible on alts. Do more side quests or villages that aren’t entirely linked to the main story.
Less currencies. We’ve had so many of them in the last few expansions. Even the Sanctum itself had Anima, Souls, Grateful Offerings and Gold used for them.
Less time-gating mechanics such as Renown or campaigns with chapters released with 8 quests a week.

Concentrate on delivering what used to be consistently good. Zones (of varying sizes and types), Quests (story, side, daily), dungeons, raids and battlegrounds.

More classxrace combinations such as NE and UD Paladins.

Continuation of the QoL alt friendliness from the get go rather than half way through the expansion. Aka you do it once, the rest can fast track.

Class sets. More class campaign, less faction war and more opportunities to work with other faction, cross faction raid is a good start but be nice to be rid of faction tagging in open world outside of warmode.

Player housing with relevant professions - woodworking, furniture making be great project and boost to AH, show off to the public and RP with friends/guilds as base.

No more borrowed power. No more levelling past 60 - new type of end game level that is horizontal such as disblo paragon levels or gw2 mastery.

A mail wearing class if there will be a class. I’m not sure what but we need more mail! Some will want tinker but I prefer fantasy classes.

More revamped zones with updated lore that are accessible via phasing for top level.

Something on azeroth, nothing too cosmic or end of the world but not just boring faction war. Dragon islands was a fun idea.

The ability to progress through a patch.

What I mean is that someone running normal raids should be able to grind (very slowly) to get mythic gear (probably only one or two pieces in the whole patch) .

Nothing should be locked - Valor M+ is good but remove the score requirement. If someone wants to run M+2s and get valor and then upgrade 210s to 246 then let them… With the early season valor cap it will take months anyway.

Everyone should be able to improve. Korthia NOW is about right you can upgrade gear to 233 at a moderate rate by farming it daily… It was far to slow before.

Have an achievable goal on all characters no matter the level they do (obviously the higher the level you do the faster/easier you get there)

Time should equal progress and progress should equal rewards (no matter the content)

For me this is succinctly expressed and yet applicable for all

About the same altho idk if frequent balance tuning is necessarily a good thing when it takes weeks to build your character.

Let’s say you aim for your BIS and finally drop a great weapon with a unique proc after 5 weeks of clears. Then Blizz comes around, nerf it & an item you traded or deleted is now your BIS & you’re back to square one.

Ideally stuff should be balanced upon release, but knowing that your efforts won’t randomly be negated by the nerf bat is important when it takes weeks or month to acquire stuff.

Dynamic World content and once again tie objectives together or in the same area so that you can save time doing multiple things at once. Ever managed to clear 3 callings in a single zone, or let’s say back in BFA clear a WPvP Call to arms and a WPVP assault while earning conquest for your weekly chest all in one run ?

That’s the kind of thing that’s inherently satisfying in a game imo, and it has been lacking for most of shadowlands.

It’s somewhat the case for Torghast in 9.1.5 (Anima, souls and renown for covenants, ashes for legendaries and gem sockets, research for Torghast, tmogs etc) and it makes the feature far more satisfying than the 9.0 “Run it twice a week for ash and… That’s it see ya next reset”

  1. A large new area to explore with interesting things/stories to stumble across (immersion) without having to watch u tube videos/Wowhead first to make sure I am ‘doing it correctly’ or missed anything essential.

  2. Spread the mobs out a little bit more, so I can use different strategies to tackle them depending on class.
(As I don’t have a pocket group of well geared experts to blast through content for me) - I can’t cope with being rushed or do ‘end content’ anyway).

  3. Review the ‘punishment’ mechanisms in game for PVE world content.
e.g) If I have had enough and want to stop playing, let my hearthstone work so I can. No interruptions to trap me in the Maw, let me put my char to a safe area for another day. (Hard logout, knowing I have to go back and ‘rescue’ the char puts me off wanting to play for a lot longer than a day).

  4. Is it a possibility to have a separate setting where I can still hear my/mob attack shots, but toggle off annoying/disturbing background ambience ? (Thinking of the Maw/Torghast here)

  • Less Emphasis on Raiding. More on M+, at least 2 new Dungeons added per patch.
  • Removal of Affixes in M+ and more thought put into the design and difficulty of each dungeon.
  • Make mobs that interact with each other, kind of like Inspiring, but on a whole new level.
  • Separate Gear Progression for different types of content. I don’t want to feel behind because I don’t raid.
  • Once I ding level 60, all powers should be unlocked at this point and be available to select in the Talent Tree tab on my UI.
  • I should only be worrying about my ilvl and stats to increase my power.
  • Unique mounts, not rehashed ones from previous expansions.
  • Less Fairies.
  • Based on Azeroth.
