What do you want the next expansion to be about?

yes - and since we ar year into DF it means 11.0 is already set in stone so nothign will change there. there is no hope for 11.0 maybe for 12.0 if they fire those people now.

Alli & Horde conflict everything else is boring

No more demons or posessed faction leaders.

there is a reason why so many ppl playing classic HC and normal that was and is what warcraft is all about not to overly complicated just fun and somehow along the years the fun part has gone the drain, back then it was about the journey the endgame was for maybe 5/10% of the population. let go back even parsley to that.

I would love if it was about the south seas or exploring the other side of Azeroth OR BOTH!

But if it’s something like the void attacking or something like that I would prefer for it to be like the Qiraji rising again and C’Thun returning with a fraction of it’s power or something that’s not ultra cosmical and fantastical but more tied to the world of Azeroth.

All signs are pointing towards Titan vs Void lord/old god expansion but i would also settle for pirates because everyone loves pirates

Replicators/Tyranid style foe we haven’t seen or heard from before. A complete new threat that we will ALL need to come together to defeat. Not just horde and alliance but enemies of the past, good guys bad guys and everyone in-between.

This would allow new characters and stories to be created along with a new enemy. All that it does is consume, there is no reason, no bargining, just death in its wake.

But within this could be power struggles, factions obviously having zero trust for each other, old hatred, but knowledge that if we don’t work together everyone dies, combined could make for some interesting story lines.

I want it to be about pirates and Avaloren !
(Hopefully we’ll have some Kul tiran customisation options too )

I want the next expansion to be about the void. I want it to introduce the ethereals as a playable race and for void necromancers similar to the ones in shadow moon burial grounds to be a playable spec.

But we’d probably get some stupid pirate themed bfa’esque expansion.

more old gods please always been my favorite aspect of wow. Anything really that got a huge lore behind it preferable from wc3 creating nostalgia thereby wanting to do the raids.

I want to go where Blingtrons go, sounds like a cool place

Give me a ship and let me explore the seas of Azeroth. Uncharted islands(real zones, not bfa islands), sunken cities, lost civilizations, shipwreck diving, a “Booty bay/Tortuga”-ish capital city to dock your personal ship at.

I know that Vashj’ir isnt exactly peoples favorite zone, but i always liked the idea of it, it just needs to be implimented better.

I’m so useless at speculating or having a preference. I just go with the flow. I have no idea what they have in mind next. I know they tend to plan out an expansion or two in the future.

I have preferred being back on Azeroth rather than being in the Afterlife.

I’m happy to go with the flow also - but I also think the next expansion will be too soon to take us back of Azeroth so for me I’d want it to be Azeroth based (I’m OK with single patches going elsewhere for a bit).

I don’t have a massive preference for themes, but I’d like to see a expansion with Azshara as the main antagonist. Her characterisation in BfA was awesome that that combined with heir familiarity to us has a lot of potential story wise.

I also quite fancy the idea of bringing back Denathrius - as well as being a great bad guy his arrogance would match Azshara’s arrogance well, and his political manner and deviousness could be a great foil for Azshara’s more overt and open taunting of us as players.

In fact thinking of it - I really like the idea of having Ashzara and Denatrius as two opposing bad guys scrapping over the same objective while we have to stop both of them somehow. I think having those two argue over, well everything, would offer loads of opportunities for great dialogue moments!

I also really like the idea of having Xalatath come back not as an overt bad guy, but as more of an ambiguous character who has the same goals as us and is willing to help us, but in a way that leaves us wondering if we can trust her or not.

Absolutely not!
Lots of players have played their chars for many years and they have fond memories, experiences, hard achievements and emotions tied to the char(s).
It would kill off the game for too many!

I like the idea a lot!

  • and furthermore: Once you hit max level you have to choose a faction (1 out of x?) they all have different paths to the same storyline and have faction specific outfits, a few faction oriented skills, titles and maybe even some crafting specific features.
Regular event/quests could be made around achieving something together as a faction instead of just WQ and you should be able to change faction maybe once or twice .

Overall I would like to see something different, more options, more char/class/faction choices, not so streamlined, not so uniform not brewing another soup on an old tired conflict. A design that’s out of the box and yet still within the WoW universe.

No need to wipe out achievements and tmogs etc, just to reset the level.

That would be my dream expac
