Kids are great babes. I’ll try FB Marketplace and Gumtree.
Felix just got back from surgery, I’m expecting him to be back at work soon.
Kids are great, Ella did really well with her spelling and Marcus is looking forward to going to Middle school in September.
Anyway, won’t keep you. Give Timothy my love.
Xoxo
There are specific guilds but most of which I cannot recall.
The only one I can think of was Hand of Menethil, but they went on to do other stuff because their RP/plot was kind of wrapped up. Like I said, the revamp might have more opportunities.
I remember when PCU destroyed my old guild. We were having a market in town we used as a hub, making thread on the forums about it. It was so nice, people were coming in, buying things, we even had one guest merchant selling perfumes.
Then I saw them. Group of ten RPers, humans, dwarves and even a draenei among them. They wore matching outfits, as if they were some fascist paramilitary group. One of them came to my stall and asked if I am selling toys. I froze. How did they know? Were they spying on me? Was this some ploy to make friends with me and infiltrate my guild?
I excused myself, logged off and went away from my computer, scared for my life. The market ended and our GM said people were really enjoying it.
Then I saw it. The thread. One of them, the draenei that approached me, she said how she is looking forward to meeting us again. My heart started racing. Do they mean to stay in our town? Take over? Is my guild going to be joining PCU?
Next week was calm. I RPed with my guild, we had a visitor every few days, it was quite nice. Then, one day, they were there again. Around the inn, some on horses, some already dismounted. I went into panic. They were going to get drinks in our home!
I did not RP that day, or day after. They were there for two days and then left, but I knew they´ll be back. People didn´t believe me, but me and my two friends tried to persuade them that´s how they take over hubs.
And guess what happened? Two weeks later, they were there again! I couldn´t handle it. I spent two hours hyperventilating in panic as my character was flying above the inn on their OOC mount. I saw the writing on the wall and confronted my GM with this. Are we going to join PCU? Is this really something he wants the guild to do?
He acted surprised, saying we´re just RPing with them like we would with any other visitor. I told him he is stupid, how this is exactly the thing they want him to believe. He told me to stop panicking and just RP with them.
I tried, but I couldn´t do it. The draenei said “Hey!” when she saw me the first night and I just knew she secretly meant “Heil!”. I told my guild I´ll be stepping away from RP for a bit, how I´m not enjoying it anymore and overall not feeling well. They were really nice about it, but then one of them (who, as I later learned, had an alt in some other PCU guild on the other faction) said “Hey, that sucks, hope you´ll return to us once things get better for you.”
That was the last straw. I shut down my computer and left the guild Discord next day. I returned to WoW RP two years later and to no surprise, the guild no longer exists and the town we RPed in is now empty. I know PCU destroyed it because for them, if they can´t control all RP, they´ll do everything to ruin it for everyone else.
I get that, even if I thought it was abit, like, not needed or w/e we all think differently right? hence why I said what I said at the time when you mentioned it Tehya, but yeah no hard feelings.
Don’t worry, I do not. The thing is, I know some people who are pretty hardcore anti-pcu, but that I have always gotten along well with myself. They have their reasons for it, some not very good, others definetly have merit. It’s a topic that with them i have come to respond to with short answers, as I personally have little wish to get involved into an online vendetta. Thankfully they respect that fact. Likewise I have some friends in the PCU that thankfully do not hold it against me that I know some anti-PCU folks. Usually I just make sure that when I rp, I keep these people apart. Its a shame that it’s necessary, but, I can’t force people to play nice with one another, since I’m not their dad.
But it sometimes does get tiring when you just wish to play.
I saw Perroy at a grocery store in Deathknell yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen jars of blight in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the jars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each jar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Same, I get on with some PCU guys amazingly, and I also have some seriously anti-PCU friends that I also get on with, and I can see both sides, I met anti PCU on Swtor and Eso and didnt know they was so anti until months later by then I discovered they was cool peoples, but at the same time Ive been in a PCU guild and in my opinion I got on with all present, Ive fought against PCU members in the north on my Oxblood alt and its all been cool vybes, imo theyve had a few obvious…trouble makers, as has the anti crowd, doesnt mean all are to be tarred, I hate tarring everyone with the same brush, feels like school yard stuff
Nah like Desartin implied, some had reasons, lets not pretend a community as large as PCU couldnt have a few people that are annoying and difficult to get on with, when you have a community of 300 people, some are gunna be…undesirables, doesnt mean I would tarr them all however, Ive been in one PCU guild and I have nothing bad to say about any of them in there, despite me “rage quitting” over a vaxx convo on a bad day, great rp’ers and fantastic people to chat/banter with in the disc from my experience.
it’s just a bit unfortunate because this is exactly the outcome I was trying to prevent.
Despite my issues with ghormisa i don’t really have any particular interest in making life difficult for her specifically. To the contrary I hope she gets the help she needs and that it helps her overcome her issues & live a happy life. I think at some previous point she posted about seeking therapy but the fact that she’s unapologetic about it all has me doubt that achieved much
getting off track
It won’t surprise you that after her actions and words, there’s quite some people who don’t want the guild they or their friends are in associated with or recommended to this person. The first option to achieve this is to simply state it clearly, which is what I did. The second is to simply outright spill the reasons why there’s such a vehement opposition to the association, which is what Blackfathoms did after option 1 didn’t work.
It’s all just kind of unnecessary and I don’t think it will help Ghormisa, rather it’ll just make her feel more isolated and vindicated.
Yeah I get that tbh, when its a short commment it feels like a dig, when you explain it like that its 100% logical, without context it feels childish and provocative, you’ll get no argument from me Tehya, when people refuse to even apologise not really a whole lot anyone can do for them but like you said wish them the best and hope they get whatever help some of us need at times, were all human, and people can snap, the mind is a funny thing.
Taking it your a scottish? only say that as a UK citizen due to my own brother living up there and Ive been there myself, abit to straight forward at times lol nothing against the scots, you certainly know where you stand which is a good thing imo.
Edit: also a quatre Scottish myself the other three quatres all Irish, so genetically all Irish given the Scot tribe came from Ireland.
Ah right yes, I wont feign to know anything about the Dutch other than them usually being tall and strong and goodlooking, I always hear of their fantastic genes, but yes the Scottish are typically very straight forward no nonsense people, I find it commendable, theres zero confusion when with them
If by that you mean us being direct in our communication, then yes. As I’m pretty sure we don’t wear kilts and play the bagpipe ( Dont worry, I know not many Scots do that these days either).
Any personal grievances you can take up in private. If there are any issues with OP’s previous posting history, I expect you have reported said posts as you should, and hopefully, actions taken on such if in need.
The topic was about what guilds/communities on the Horde side offer the theme of the light in its various forms. If you have an understanding of more, do share.
