I wouldn’t say it’s impossible, since the models certainly support it and iirc customization for them was datamined, but they probably would have announced it by now if it was going to happen. New player races are a strong selling/marketing point, so they likely would have used it by now if they were going to.

I don’t agree with your assessment.

Keeping them ‘obviously fit for a player race’, but not confirming them creates buzz. Speculation. Threads like this.

Of course they shouldn’t do it for too long because at some point people will lose interest and look at the next big new thing.

For all the datamining going on, Blizzard has been keeping various storylines off of the PTR. So there’s a good chance such a storyline would initiate them joining us.

I still remember the uproar on RP servers, when Alliance got Red Draenei and how they “ruined immersion”

Can’t wait to hear their reaction to having half-trolls walking around Stormwind :joy:

What if…

Alliance gets a Goblin faction of their own.
And the horde gets Harronir.

Could make sense after 11.1

PS: On a personal note… Since they might be doing ‘hybrid’ races now… I would really love if we got Mok’nathal.

We are yet to interact with them. Therefore selling point for future expansion :stuck_out_tongue:

Naah, they already got that with Player Housing

Goblins have always been Horde really. Making them neutral would dimmer the faciton lines too much. And the way I see the shorty story of Gazlowe we might see the Bilgewater allying with the other cartels too. Like sure we have Renzik as alliance guide for the next patch but nothing so far indicates he becomes a leader himself. Steamwheedle, Venture Co etc would not make a profit if they declare team red their enemy.

Elves were always alliance till bc

that was the very first expansion. Goblins been Horde since Cataclysm. Also pretty much all cool NPCs are tied to Bilgewater. I know them all without googling. If the alliance gets goblins they need to compensate the Horde with something just as cool.

Is this still a thing? For some reason I have a sudden urge to make a red-skinned draenei priestess on Argent Dawn

Eredar are evil and it is hard to explain why someone who committet so many crimes is allowed to walk around in Stormwind.

Naah, they’ve gotten over it by now… I think.

Fair enough, and i agree that housing is a selling point for midnight. However  we never got allied race before we concluded story with such race. And that is yet to happen with Haranir.
Maybe in 11.2

Nobody said that.

The alliance and the horde are NOT enemies.
Not at this time. You are stuck in the past.

Oh you. And yet you advocate for characters that have committed ‘so many crimes’ as well to walk off unpunished. :person_facepalming:

Typical Erevien double standards?

Horde isn’t allowed in Stormwind dude.

Not yet.
But we can do a whole lot more cross faction than we used to.

Point is: Storywise they are not enemies at this time. They’re working together in many ways.

That’s not wiping the baggage the Eredar come with. They didn’t destroy a Zone but entire planets.

Just wait until the redemption arc for Sargeras comes around.

I also doubt Haranir will be playable. Not every race needs to be. Like I know 12 other races that should come before them.
