What if there was a version of wow, where you cant use addons?

Don’t do this. That’s like being a 2 pump chump because it’s the most efficient way to do that. This is a hobby, for fun. It’s a literal waste of time, and that’s ok, but treat it as such.

  • Does it need to be customized? It’s a utility thing, not a game mechanic.
  • Right Click for head, Esc key for cinematics.
  • You can do that with the map you spoke about, Screen Shot and MS paint are free.
  • So don’t?

Which to me seems silly to me as no other game does this. Anyone can watch a DS boss run video and run to every single boss and skip 95% of the game or look up where OP weapons are hidden and nuke everything. The developers don’t put in stuff to try counter such a style of play or factor in that players might do such things.

DBM does nothing but announce stuff when it happens and at best give you marks on the targets. It doesnt do anything else. DBM got hard nerfed after HFC. And DBM becomes background noise a couple pulls in.

Not that I’ve noticed so far but will keep a lookout!

I am pretty light on AddOns but then again I don’t do the big 3.

I could not play without these:
Co-ordinates - so many cave entrances or even pick 8 green flowers in that slightly darker green grass quests where I need coords from wowhead to do.

Storyline - Displays Quest text in a larger font with light text on dark background. Couldn’t read them otherwise.

Could live without but wouldn’t want to:

CanIMogIt - only got this recently and wonder how I got by without it. great to be able to very bop items knowing it’s already in my wardrobe. Wish there was something similar for recipes (maybe there is?).

The standard UI could do all of this but doesn’t. Rather than trying to make the standard UI do 1/10th of what ELvUI does they could have put in these instead.

WoW’s UI should be improved not through an experiment, but on the main game.

Yes it needs. I use handy notes for many things including to set manually markers with notes

I don’t want to see the talking head at all. I want it disable as my addon does it. The same is for the cinematics especially in M+ dungeons.

This is not an option. I love creating outfits. I have 32 right now which my addon is saving.

You are creating extra steps for no reason. Addons help by adding things which Blizzard haven’t bothered implementing.
If the addons are removed and not replaced by Blizzard then I bet many people including myself will just unsubscribe.

You want to be lazy about things, thats fine, but dont act like its an actual requirement.

Yes it is not because everything after the initial installation happens inside the game. Which with your method will happen outside. I have 0 reason to exit the game to do stuff outside of it.

I heard somewhere that this might be in the Standard UI next patch. We’ll see. Knowing Bliz it will be a less good version of the addon, probably it will ask you to click an Accept button on every piece of grey junk it sells…

Nobody is claiming MDT is a hard requirement. It is a QoL thing. A pretty big one. Your suggestion is to make screenshots of every mob in the dungeons. Now go figure what a nice QoL MDT is.

The question is why blizzard implemented loadouts for talents trees. We could obviously just made screenshots of the trees we want to remember and sometimes want to switch too :man_shrugging:

It’s not that bad. I basically do that every day.

I am not going to make a custom mouseover-macro for every ability i want to do on a friendly target as healer :sweat_smile: Clique addon for the win.

You don’t need to, you can activate ‘‘mouseover’’ for all abilities in the settings.

That is exactly what i don’t want.

How does that require macros?

A lot of healing specs have tons of abilities. This means a lot of healers have on their button 1 flame shock as well as riptide.
This means you need to macro.

Or you just put regular flame shock on 1. and go to clique and put riptide on 1 when you mouseover unitframes (and only unitframes).

Just click their character frames?
