What if wotlk succeed more then retail

I have been on forums for 4 days and I think I had enough of this, in fact it proved me that most of these people commenting are fakers and they just poke others, I call them fakers because I think they would not act like that IRL, but instead using internet as a protection, commenting every post and poking people for no good reason, see same goes for you for last comment, even if I started in cata what does that mean, in fact it means that I started in ‘‘new’’ wow which is not the same, and I felt changes in lvling and all other stuff, which I thought was fine, because of how convenient it is, but really after playing vanilla I realized all the adventure was gone because of convenience, because when I first started wow in tbc I would enter zone, get to camp, take all quests, then roam through whole zone looking to finish all quests, and that gave me sense of exploration and adventure, I even was beginner at english so most of the story I didn’t even know, but still was good adventure…

You didn’t play Vanilla

You’re the lier and the faker.

That doesn’t Include repeats of kills from the same guilds. What you are looking at the moment is progress. If you want to look at kills look at this:

https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/zone/statistics/1011#boss=609

Here you can see individual amounts of parses from each spec on illidan. Its a rule of thumb that each raid has 1 or 2 elemental shamans, which means if there is 160k elemental shaman parses, the real number of total logs is 110-130k

Also there is usually 1x enh, 1x fury, 1x rogue. All of these numbers support 100k+ kills

Because there is 6 tank specs, so if you divide 6/2 you get 3, which is the number you then divide 101k with.

But if there are 101k tank parses for the first boss and two tanks per raid then surely you divide the 101k by 2 for the number of raids progressed?

I don’t really do raid logs but that would seem logical to me.

No, if you were dividing by two, that would be showing how many parses there are for 3 tanks per raid

I am not getting the logic behind that at all.

I may totally have the wrong end of the stick as to how these things work but surely a parse is per character per run, therefore if there are 101k parses and each run, no matter on raid size, contains 2 tanks, then a simple division of the total parses by the number of tanks per run would show how many runs there had been.

Why would dividing by two show me number of runs with three tanks per raid and what does the number of tank specs have to do with it all?

tbc raids were different and there were 5-6 tanks

oh god no.
master loot only brings ninjas.

fair loot is what we have now. you killed a boss so you get a chance to get loot.
i do miss the bonus roll coins though.

iirc that was already the case with original Classic.

I believe at the time retail had 1.7m players and classic had 2.1 mil.

If Classic succeeds more than retail, which is unlikely at this point, it’s fine.

People should realize at this point that its literally the same game, made by the same company that can coexist with each other. People can go back and forth between the two. You don’t like something about retail and wish an earlier expansion was available, or you missed out on it the first time? Now it’s there. You get bored of content that you already played through more than a decade ago and you want to play the version of WoW that will introduce new things? It’s there a swell.

It’s a win-win situation for Blizzard and the players as well. The only people who can’t enjoy it are the classic fanatics that go wild about how great “their” version of the game is and how much retail sucks.

I will play retail ofc, but it is not the same game at all, maybe wotlk is similar with all new changes, but vanilla is totally different game, vibe and style.

I may have a go at Wotlk, since I didn’t really play it back then.

“Retail” is the game, the rest are just side projects.

I wish that Wotlk will be a huge sucess because that means alot more revenue and that will benefit the development of the game i (we?) love.

So, sucess to WoW and all its side projects.

Cheers

Yes, although this post was never meant to be taken as some people did think of it, classic wow will be always special in my hearth because it is PURE RPG, while retail just feels like every other game, maybe that is because I never played ultima online or any other old mmoRPG and it felt special playing classic wow, realizing all RPG elements and how everything used to be. It is a fact that classic was better RPG then retail.

Take off the rose tinted goggles for gods sake, you people are clueless, just because of the announcement, I logged on a private server where I had a rogue, with 4/5 wrathfull gear, went to a bg, and as soon as I poped out of stealth was insta charged by 2 Shadowmourne wielding warriors, yeah, goes to say i was 1shotted.
Point is, there, bgs or arenas are won by who has most shadowmournes in either side, and if you are not playing an arms warrior arp stacked with shadowmourne and HC trinkets or a shadowmourne wielding ret, you are just meat to tenderize.
And of course booster communities are going to profit on that selling runs in ICC to farm mats for shadowmourne and the expansion will ultimately be just like a private server because WOTLK was not designed to have so many people with that legendary running around.
If you go for PVE, then maybe you will have a good time, but if your into pvp…forget about it.

there are servers that don’t have in game shop like lordareon idk if i spelled right, but it is x1 blizzlike server that was out there for years, 15-20k server population

I know, but the way they are right now, is the same way classic wotlk will be, and it´s just not fun at all.
I can already see boosting communities selling DBW HC runs, or RS HC runs for people to get their HC trinkets to oneshot people in pvp.

You should have put a quastion mark at your tittle so i could say Is that even a question?
But well in my opinion it is a guarantee
