What if wotlk succeed more then retail

you couldn’t hyper farm this, you would go roaming in land searching for grps then kill them, today you stand in 1 spot and pull 30 mobs then wait for 10 sec then pull another 30 mobs… Don’t tell me how it was, even though i somewhat I agree with you, wotlk was a joke compared to vanilla wow in RPG aspects, but what IF people realize that?

Yes, you did. I farmed them for leather and meat.

So did i but not when i was leveling had low gear they would crush me if they engaged me alot of em.

But yea i did kill em all when i was doing proffs when 80.

Vanilla sucked compared to now.
TBC sucked compared to now.
Wotlk sucked compared to now.

Classic/Classic TBC sucks compared to now.
Wotlk will suck compared to now as well.

The class designs in the classic versions are outdated. The talent system is awful.

That is only because people grew out of that and it doesant hold their attention anymore.

And want nostalgia that will pass when they play the old games a bit.

Nah.

It’s because they were the best on the market at the time. They’re no longer the best on the market when released today. Plenty of games that can rival them.

What if philosphy of company changes and they start improving RPG aspects of the game, I think they already started to think about it, because let’s be honest, their combat is good and only what’s left is little bit of balancing here and there, nothing special, while on the other hand RPG is pure mess, and that’s mainly why people left, trust me they don’t know how to explain that but they will say just wow isn’t the same anymore, but its RPG aspects whats problem!!!

to be fair, it wasnt possible for every class.
i played warlock and doing that type of farming would kill me. that is why ill never play cloth again.

best doesnt equal popular.

there was always better mmos than wow. wow was just great with branding and advertising.

in any case, the mmo genre is dead. and soon it will be just like the adventure genre.

Loot os way better than in bfa or legion at least. Just need master loot back…

oh back when i started to hate daily quests, but because i was a mount collection moron, i did it despite not having fun at all.

Mainly what was fun for me back then was raiding and owning noobs while i got op gear.

im not like that any more at all, im not the same person, im not willing to spend countless time on stuff i dont enjoy anymore. but back then i was.

Will enjoy 10 men raiding and t set vendors in wotlk. Definitely going to play it while waiting for all beta test (10.1 and 10.2) are finished.

You brought a level 1 to heavily alliance dominated server.

It seems the servers divide the faction almost a 100%. I play on a horde server, and have only met 4 alliance players since I started there, and I am level 60. I am certain this is how the alliance cities look like on that server.

It won’t.

It will go exactly the same as Classic and TBC.

Fun for a while, then you quit because there’s nothing new.

Exactly. The world content was horribly limited in wotlk. That’s why I quit the game during that expansion. Wotlk atmosphere - awesome. But for a player like me it was terribly boring.

For you.

I never thought I’d enjoy any of the classic games, but I decided to try it just to have a look back, then got hooked at it. It’s not a perfect game, but in Shadowlands it has offered way better content for me than retail. I don’t blame people for enjoying Shadowlands, but it’s not a fact that it is better. It’s just your opinion.

Tahra…?

Did you namechange, or swap character?

Oh yeah, I namechanged a long time ago.
When the sex change at the barber became a thing.
Because if I wanted to play a male character for a while, being named Tahra just didn’t feel right.
So I went with a genderneutral ‘Tah’.

I did make an alt named Tahra and used that to post for a while, but… it wasn’t my main and I kept getting silly remarks about ‘hiding behind an alt’ from ‘some people’… So yeah.

Fair enough! I’ve been gone for a year :stuck_out_tongue:

It will be popular but it will end exactly like classic or TBC man
people have this weird NOSTALGIC feeling
and trust me there will be a lot of players but retail will always dominate cause it always brings something new  old expansion can’t do that so they will have few dedicated people playing there
and everyone who was there for the HYPe is going to play something else or RETAIL
