When I got my Revenge of the Sith Darth Vader Voice Changing Helmet in 2006 I never could have imagined that wearing it automatically meant I was deceiving people into believing that I really was Darth Vader.
Eyo I had one too, guess I was deceiving my family into believing I was a Dark Lord of the Sith.
Holy hell, my brother used to have one of those.
Lord Vader? On the Argent Dawn forums?!
All Decepticons, mobilize.
I also used to have a large Clone Trooper helmet thatâd actually fit my head and had a voice box in it with pre-set voice lines.
Guess I was also deceiving people into believing I was a clone in the Grand Army of the Republic.
ALL HAIL MEGATRON.
Donât worry youâre just a clone of unhelpful opinions now
Everything online is a form of expression, from the way you write to the way you present with avatars, choice of pictures, interests, etc.
Everything in RL is a form of expression. As others have mentioned with makeup, style of clothes,
You can see how thatâs not a good mentality to have
No. No I canât, because your argument makes no sense. Weâre all changing ourselves into what we want to be online, both in games and on social media.
I would be hurting myself cuz I think Iâm a skateboarder and canât skateboard, so when it comes to proving it, I end up with an injury.
Look, are you really honestly saying here that trans-people are deluding themselves and that, in some imaginary situation where they would have to âproveâ their sex, theyâd get hurt?
Damn. You sure showed them. If only that made any sense.
Pot calling kettle black I guess.
In front of my salad!?
man if cathan wasnât enough galford has set ben shapiro as his new role model lmao
Where is Bee? Is she safe? Is she alright?
Iâm afraid⌠In your anger you herâŚ
What? I⌠couldnât have. She was already dead, I felt it!
Iâve said it already if theyâre having to manipulate their voice then theyâre fooling themselves into a false cycle of acceptance. If that is their considered way to approach socially ofc itâs bad. People lack confidence in all levels of social situations, but online, using it as an outlet to be something else from a IRL or OOC perspective doesnât seem right. If people find that voice changers work for meeting people online, then what about outside the screen. It seems silly defending it shamelessly rather than advocating for accepting people for who they are and how they sound. Without the voice changers
Wait what if i dont fall into the âanyone elseâ category?
Is this why nobody came to my birthday party?
If I stress the Italian part of my heritage (which by 19th century racial science classes me as non white) will you all like me again?
(Im not joking unironically nobody came to my birthday party)
Again I stress without the voice changers, because they shouldnât be necessary
