I’ve always found this topic to be a bit of a mixed bag honestly. Like, on one hand, personally I have not had trouble with the PCU, and I’ve even met some individuals in it that are actually okay people and fun to rp with. When the campaigns were still public, I usually had fun.

Yet on the other hand, a reputation like theirs can’t have just come out of nowhere, I find it extremely unlikely that it’d all just be “hearsay”. That a portion of AD just one day got out of bed and decided “Imma dislike the PCU” without any grounded reason.

Personally though I try to just get along with everyone, sometimes that goes well, sometimes a bit less, but it is what it is.

For someone not in the PCU, you seem to have taken up a lot of their language. Are you sure you have never been associated with them in any shape or form outside of forum interactions? I have a hard time buying that you aren’t in their discord, for example. Not that I can check your alts anyway, so I am taking your word when you say you’re not part of the PCU.

It doesn’t help that out of the more-or-less 22 people who posted and are part of the PCU, others might be posting on alts who do not openly display their affiliation, yet promoting the same message to increase the idea that PCU haters are paranoid. If this is a recurring behaviour, then these people are also responsible for spreading the message you are making fun of.

It’s a good question, imo. Let me think about a good answer.

I just answered the OPs questen men why u gotta put me on the naughty list.

In terms of the reputation. I know a good chunk of people who dislike PCU purely based on the fact that people told them to dislike them.

The hardcore anti-PCU dudes actively try to twist the narrative at times to just turn dudes against the PCU

There’s definetly a handful that does that, yes, to the point I’ve had to tell them to stop it, as it was getting annoying.

I am very sure, yes, and since when was stuff like ‘living in their head rent free’ PCU language? Last I checked nobody had claimed to own a string of words, don’t know why you’re trying to analyse everything here.

I suggest you step away from the forums and take a while to do something else, rather than try to shadowbox some sort of cult you’ve formed in your mind.

I haven’t actively played this game since before the PCU rose to prominence, I have never been in a PCU affiliated guild, outside of the forums I have only spoken to some of them by happen-chance on Epsilon, but I constantly get lumped in with them on the forums for the crime of agreeing with them by people like you who paint everything with one broad brush.

Again, how’s that a point? Being suspicious of a community who has been playing these kind of games for years and having someone go “haha, you’re paranoid!” is ironically a way to shut down any discussion about that situation.

You’re just trying to draw attention away from legitimate issues that others have with your group, and which do affect your community to some extent.

But people’s language is influenced by social proximity, and it is curious that you use a language which is so proximal to that group.

Don’t try to take a paternal attitude with me. If you cared about what’s best for others, you’d likely listen with a more open mind instead of adopting a paternalist tone. I don’t need your advice, thanks.

im in the pcu and if anyone as much as dares utter ‘based’ i beat them to an inch of their lives
