What is DH weakness?

People really need to stop acting like armor has a meaning on their general durability. Arms WW and maybe sub are the only physical damaging meta specs.
You people mean to tell us that DH has a weakness being a leather class against:

  • Destro lock
  • Fire mage
  • Frost mage
  • Assassination rogue
  • Frost DK
  • Unholy DK
  • Elemental shaman
  • Shadow priest
  • Ret paladin
  • Havoc demon hunter

Those DHs better tremble when they queue into those 3 specs above the list. Funny enough, you’d think you could exploit their low armor as a physical damage dealing class, but then they just yeet your sense of reality out the window when they hit Blade Dance on Kidney, Leg Sweep, War Breaker etc.

MY SIDES xd

It doesn’t quite work that way. If you kick eyebeam, you only deny them the haste buff (if they’re even playing the azerite that gives you extra haste after fully casted eyebeam, I have no idea if it’s the one they go for in PvP or not), they’ll get the meta even if you kick the cast straight away.

I get that DH’s have a nice toolkit, fair enough. There are 2 DH’s in the top 100 ladder and there are 20 monks, 12 Locks etc… Like honestly is it that big of a deal. I know BFA is boring and it’s dragging on but jfc every day it’s just tears in this forum from the same people.

Uhhhh, now that I think about it, I thought I either missed my kicks or whatever, because they do transform when using eye beam. I guess they transform on use, not on finishing the cast?

Exactly.‎‎

Unsuccesful people always try to find the issues in other things.

Even if DH would be gone this instant, none of these people crying so hard would climb higher. They would just focus on the next QQ target.

Either way DH gets huge nerfs in Shadowlands and since this Season is terrible anyway thanks due to Corruption theres nothing to cry about.

Survive the 1 min godmode onslaught through whatever means possible. Then attempt to kill them through a 50% evasion and 35% wall with the small amount of hp you have left

You described post MoP Blizzard perfectly. They removed Mana Drain, Viper Sting and Mana Burn in Cata and MoP because “it was toxic” mechanic to give it to DH later. DH is good example of terrible “no risk - high reward” policy to please casual amoebas playing this game. Every more difficult spec or talent build is nerfed to the ground so casual noobs who don’t even read what their spells and talents do don’t feel obliged to learn how to play. Instead they faceroll. I don’t even talk about PvP but both in M+ and raids Havoc was doing great with little effort during both Legion and BfA.

I remember testing DH during Legion beta. Everyone thought it’s unfinished and that they will add more mechanics to it. Didn’t happen.

I don’t blame PvP players abusing this spec because noone likes losing or being weaker but 2x DH comps in both Legion and BfA AWC should tell a lot. This spec needs huge overhaul and actually design because what they did is just adding everything Illidan fanboy would like to see and overtuning it. The fact that Blade Dance has built in 100% evasion is just stupid. Imagine now that evasion is separate button similar to Greater Fade and Grounding - 1 more mechanic. Add stackable dot from Throwing Glave as default. It already looks more complex. Unfortunately Blizzard wants to make WoW a console game that can be supported with combinations of 4 buttons with 2 triggers and bumpers including jumping, interacting with NPC, canceling, mounting and targeting. It means they want you to use maximum of 12 buttons. Of course MOBAs have mainly 4 spells for chars but due to items and different control of the character and targeting (skill shot system) it’s already complex enough. Making WoW so simple won’t work.

I would Not Call this a weakness

You are right, though, tbh I already lost all respect towards players using DH. Why would I respect them, only because they want to have it easy abusing an obviously stupidly desinged and broken class?
Do we respect thieves, robbers etc. only because they want to have it easy?
I understand their PoV, but don’t respect them, they are actually the ones that help blizzard do such things and say - see? Ppl like it. We are right.
I wish more ppl would think like you and me and not go the easy slope or the mentality “if you can’t beat them, join them”. It’s a game after all and not a life deciding matter, ppl should be able to play what they like not what is the easiest win with using least brain cells.
Unfortunately that’s the overall mentality lately and blizzard are just trying to monetize on it.
I am not for a overly complex gameplay either, I can understand the reason behind simplifying things, technical, marketing etc. But the lack of balance I despise and there is no respectable excuse for not trying constantly, iteratively to balance as much as possible.

Their only weakness is the player is too greedy and agressive with the mobility they easily LoS their healers and die when tunneled.

I did some arena’s with DH and they behave like kites getting stuck into a tree. I prefer slower less mobile classes for that reason. They don’t sail behind towers, objects or fly up in the air out of range for heals…

8.5% representation in 2’s above 2.2. Which is the exact average a class should be. And thats there top bracket.

Ppl hate on classes that counter them. Yes as warrior in a 1v1 you will probably lose vs a DH. I know it hurts your ego…but get over it.

Its a simplistic class, but what class isnt these days.

Iam already over it bro

 There is so much wrong with that statement dude.

Eventho hes wrong, i understand where he is coming from.

DH needs spread pressure to optimize its output. Their single target damage isnt the best.

But…with manaburn and all, tunneling healers is more often than not the go to tactic.

If you want to know the weaknesses of DH, get on one, do some pvp and notice how people beat you. Best way to figure it out.

But, if you would rather read my rant…
DH are vulnerable to snares, as they don’t really have anything to break snares. They can break slows, but aside from trinket, they can’t get out of snares.

Also, they need to do damage to heal, and during metamorphosis they both deal insane damage and have very strong healing. But outside of meta they are considerably weaker. Granted, meta is up a lot of the time, but if you can avoid that damage you negate a lot of their strength.

They also have next to no cc. They have a stun with a fairly short cd if they talent into it, and they have imprison, which is on a long cd.

My experience is don’t go toe to toe with a DH. Try to kite, then go in for dmg when he’s not in meta.

Also, DH mobility is insane, but it can also be used against them. If you run away and he uses the dash thing to catch up, and you immediately run the other way, he will dash away from you. Then he will have to dash back, and with both charges on cd they cant do much to catch up to you. Granted, it has a really short cd, but its something to work with.

Also, be ready to los when they fly up in the air.

  • Not the best single target / burst.
  • Relatively squishy when caught in stunns.
  • No healing reduce of some sorts.
  • Needs help from teammates to get rid of roots/nova’s etc.

And which trinket would this be? There are so many different ones.

Unless you mean MEDALLION… but surely people couldn’t confuse medallion with trinket, could they?
