What is it with Tank players in TWW Dungeons pulling the half/entire room without thinking?

It’s almost like some Tank players want to make Healing even harder of a job and further the lack of Healers in heroic Dungeons.

I can’t wait for Mythic+ to go live, so I have actual people using their brain instead of their damage meter to think.

Until they overgear it, like everything else. they need ilevel caps for content, like FF14.

As a challenge M+ has failed ,most people do the lowest key to get the highest reward.

This season I have at least the motivation to push high on other classes.

Nono this season people will cry because they realise they need to do an mythic 10 instead an 8. to get the max reward in vault. Hahaha

What room are you talking about that’s hard to heal?

Only time I have a hard time healing when they pull big is the corridor to the right in cinderbrew if people don’t stop stuff. Like, when I say big - I mean like everything in the corridor.

Tank pulls too little:
Healer: “Stop being afraid, I can keep you alive without a problem!”
DPS: “Uuuuuugh so boring… my DPS meter is not shiny or filled with big numbers…”

Tank pulls too much:
Healer: “YOU STINKY DUMMY HEAD! I CAN’T HEAL THAT! YOU’RE A BIG DUMMY!”
DPS: “Dang tanks, big dummies! We can’t kill the mobs fast enough to make sure they live…!”

I wonder what would be considered: “Tanks pull juuuuuuust right.”

Adding to that corridor is also the room before last boss in Sacred Flame. There are some volley cast that hurt + the consecration on ground, which for some reason melee dps really like to soak for an eternity.

Because its totally doable and when you are farming you want big pulls…not 3 mobs at a time. If you are struggling then somebody is undergeared or skilled.

When they don’t say anything.

because the content is boring. And want to get done asap.

also playing a tank is a solo game mind set.

Also its a mini game to see what to take when your in m+ later.

this is coming from a person who has seen much and is playing to get done, To the extent that I pick all the defensives talents builds and build towards solo play.

For me it’s a pack that can actually be handled by the party(and that’s very dependant on who’s in it). I did a stonevault yesterday and kept getting feared over and over and between the fears I’d do my best to get people up from like 10% health. Sure, I saved them, but the fears were pretty obnoxious when nobody interrupted them. The only problem with that pack was that out of 4 people nobody used theirs on the fears.

I love your optimism but do you really think those people will suddenly start using their brains in m+?

It’s the same with mythic. Just add a timer to speed it up even more…

Heroic dungeons are a joke anyway. As a healer I would rather have a tank pull the entire room than 1 by 1. That way at least it doesnt take too much time. Everything is eay too easy.

Thank you for the tank appreciation OP

big pulls are fun, let us enjoy.

TWW heroics are really easy. I’ve had not had trouble keeping up (as a healer) and don’t mind the big pulls.

There are only a few pain spots, like the mortal strike knights in Priory and the bees in the Meadery. You can always tell the experienced from the less experienced tanks in those places. But in general there is no problem keeping up. Most tanks don’t need much healing.

I think the best tanks adjust to the group. If a healer is inexperienced or the dps is unusually low, it makes sense to go slower. But if the healer can keep up and the damage is fine, pulling large is what everyone expects.

Let’s be frank here. I’m pulling these mobs for myself and other players are just to accompany me, optionally dealing damage to MY enemies, healers can heal these players but don’t disturb me with your puny life force if I can just drain the life from everything and everyone around. /s

Joking aside, there’s no golden rule for that. Some people like to pull half of even the entire damn dungeon, while others will pull one pack per year and get scolded for being too slow, so they’ll leave or get kicked.
I’m not saying that tanking the whole dungeon at once is good, because the mobs WILL punish other players and not necessarily a tank (which is actually weird af, I am the one who’s tanking, why are you punching my healer / hunter / rogue / whatever class, if I just taunted you, mob) but… I think it’s better to just do a big pull and telling people to stay in one place while I’m collecting my packs, then return with the pack to my group rather than blindly and with utter chaos just pull more and more and having / losing all the control over everything (which I’m capable of doing so as well, unfortunately).

Any non brain-dead tank is pretty much unkillable in heroic dungeons

I don’t know what healers you go with… but I actually want the tank to pull everything in the dungeon…

In fact, I wish tanks could literally press 1 button and pull the whole dungeon at once. Not 1 corridor, or from boss to boss. ALL the dungeon. And deal with that “zombie horde style”… that would be so much fun !

I get bored otherwise.

Also, I have had multiple instances of doing Heroics with out a tank at all ! No need.
