What is next for the TBC cash shop?

So when are Blizzard going to add race/faction change and the WoW Token to the cash shop for TBC Classic?

EDIT: No, I don’t like the cash shop, but if you think Blizzard ain’t going to add more, ***

I am hoping for a Lvl 60 boost for Dranaei/Belf. Or Race change/Faction Change.
I am kinda dissapointed i couldnt just boost a lvl 60 Dwarf and then race change it to Dranai.( or skip that just boost Dranaei)

That being said, i am having a blast leveling the character.

I do hope they add transmog . Its probably one of the best features WoW has to offer.

Token shop would be dope. I dont understand why it isnt already there.

Please stop playing TBCC and go back to retail.

I would be ok with some changes, but adding token into the game is absolutely a BIG NO FREAKING NO. You have 0 clue on why Vanilla, TBC and WOTLK were so great and made blizzard the company it is today.

And why exactly is it a ‘big no freaking no’? Please do elaborate.

Ye…I’m also against it all, but it’s coming and if you think it isn’t, you’re a fool.

This subject has been explained a million times already. If the argument of why the token is absolutely bad for classic WoW didn’t go through your thick skull already, than me explaining it again won’t do that either.

I personaly dont care about boosts and mounts. Boost is the only reason why I go back to TBC - been there, done that. I want just do BGs and arenas for fun asap instead of torturing myself with levelling or PvE (which I hate so much I was paying my friends back then to level my alts).

But Token is another beast. Token is ruining the game in its very core. Retail became indirect p2w because of token. Before token boosting was there but only few could afford it. Buying from gold sellers was risky and not for everyone(against rules, could be scammed etc). Token made arena and raid boosts viable for anyone who have irl money to spare and it destroyed whole economy and influenced gearing too much. I hope they never implement that one.

But I understand people play this game for other reasons than arena/BG/raid and for someone like mount collector even that is important negative change. For me mount is just tool to get somewhere faster. Never cared about mounts or achievements and stuff like that.

But I was never true MMO player. Even back then in original TBC days(and every expansion after) I bought WoW exclusively for BG and arena and if everything else disappeared over night I would not even notice. So I care only when shop stuff influences directly or indirectly character power in PvP…

Good for them. They already lost 30% of the playerbase during the pandemic where people were literally FORCED to stay indoors for a whole year. But if they really want to lose more than 50% of the classic playerbase, then they can add the stupid token.

I love the game for what it is and how it is, as imperfect as it is sometimes. If they ruin it, I’ll stop playing as simple as possible. There are tons of different games out there that I enjoy, and won;t miss WoW if I stop playing it. I already did in 2007. I just want to replay it, but as I said, I already played it.

I miss old good days, vanilla was great, tbc best, i wish blizz change their mind and release some classic servers one day.

I agree, but Blizzard doesn’t care anymore. They just want to milk the cash cows for every penny they have. Someone who uses the cash shop two or three times a year is worth more to Blizzard than someone like myself who literally only pays his subscription.

I paid for boosts a few times back in my retail days and quickly regretted it as you don’t understand the class and Blizzard in 12 months change the class to something you no longer recognise. It’s one of the main reasons I quit retail years ago.

Thats not an explanation at all, thats just an insult against my person. Don’t elaborate actually, you’ve said enough to see what kind of person I’m dealing with. G’day.

Ok, whale.

You’re calling me a whale? Ha, mug.

I miss old days too, I was younger and everything was much better  right? You realise this says every generation despite everything right?

It has hardly anything with the state of the game.

Not you bruh, Stupefy.

For everyone else: I want to relive TBC as I remember it from my teenage days as much as the next person but unfortunately there are some QoL features that you just can’t go around. The Token Shop is one of these features. It’s a great transition tool between classic and modern, it’s official (no shady ingame businesses) and very accessible. It’s too good and convenient to ignore.

Ahhh ok. Fair. I did think “wait…didn’t this guy read my comment properly?”

I’ve been struggling with a similar conclusion. Because I’m hoping it’s not the case but at the same time, it feels sort of inevitable that it will with time. And I expected it anyway but not this soon, that caught me off guard.

I’m not happy about it, I wasn’t a particular fan of it in retail, and even less in the Classic versions. I understand those who see no issue with it. I do tho, and not for a lack of money on my side, or envy.

I’m calmly considering whether I want to support it. If not, I’ll simply unsubscribe.
