What is the class ability you miss, that you once had?

Forgot that one, but yeah, this should be a warrior ability (Yes, I said warrior, not spec !)

Just like our concecration

I miss having a talent row dedicated to how I wanted to have a speed boost.

There was an on use, a speed up when using judgement or something else.

It could be good, if and only if we keep divine steed, because well, removing mobility cooldown and putting that as a talent…Meh.

Scatter Shot
Snake Trap
Wing Clip on ranged hunter specs, with melee concussion shot it’s a bit irrelevant though (RIP deadzone)
Eyes of the Beast
Serpent Sting baseline
Wyvern Sting
Tranquilising Shot (Rather than tying it to a pet ability)

I know it’d be really lame now and unbalanced, but I kinda miss the deadzone. The idea that hunters had a “ranged kit” and a “melee kit” they had to swap between based upon the situation was pretty cool, gave you lots to be aware of and you focussed more on your positioning than anything else. It was a relic of a dark age, but I miss it.

I really liked on my OG hunter in TBC buying the gladiator melee two hander for absolute garbage honour (because it was tiered the same as a wand for casters LOL - hence why it was called “hunter wand”) with no arena reqs. Mages would be all trying to get in your face as they did as you pepper them with shots, and then as they get into the deadzone you’d crit them for absolutely absurd damage with Raptor Strike due to having a gladiator tiered weapon backing it before many others had the chance to do the same and earn their weps. For this brief period it was my strongest ability and trying to move towards people as I shoot them to get into melee range for a bursty raptor strike was all part of the game plan.

Yes! Played priest as main healer in Cata, and honestly when I tried it again in BFA noticing this change really really put me out. PRoM feels really clunky compared to how it was.

I also miss that disc used to have a reliable heal in Greater Heal when you didn’t want to cast Flash Heal (for triage) or needed something with a bit more oomph than Atonement Smite. All healers currently have something they cast in situations where your target is taking heavier, predictable damage over a longish time like Healing Wave, Holy Light, Lifebloom+Rejuv, Enveloping Mists…Disc doesn’t have a direct spell for this situation currently and instead has to “weave” between Atonement healing (which is great for aoe healing but not amazing for heavy ST damage even if predictable) or Shadowmend (which is quick and inefficient and lacks some clout over time). Penance is not the answer due to the CD. It’d be nice for Disc to get something back that gives them a more clean answer to this situation rather than just “lol go Holy”.

I mean in Cata their G heals were quite different anyway in how they achieved this purpose of sustained healing. Holy’s had echo behind it so it was very big with a nice HOT. Disc’s was weaker baseline, but when grace stacked fully it became slightly stronger than Holy’s directly, and crits from it put a nice decent shield on your target (which was further buffed by mastery).

With Mage, I could name Deep Freeze or Frostfire Bolt (Flurry is so wimpy) or something, but the problem for Mage is deeper. Mages should be harnessing all of the forces, cleverly weaving and combining them to create their effects, but since the laughable so-called “class fantasy”, every Mage spec is in its own little box, screaming to be let out.

THIS is what a Mage does:

I just checked the cataclysm talent tree… I damn sad… Our auras was giving 3% dmg boost to everyone, our judgement debuffed enemies so people get mana when they attack them.

And a lot of other cool stuff… Feels way more like an RPG

Ye, a lot of the class utility went out after Cata. In Cata every dps class had a unique buff they offered the group (some of them offered the same role as each other) and they were generally tiered highly enough that you could never get two at once if different specs offered different buffs.

For example (don’t quiote me) I’m fairly sure one of the hunter specs offered Replenishment in their tree, and another offered a 10% AP boost when they critted or something like that. Enh had the same buff (10% AP to group when you crit). Fire Mage Scorch increased damage taken from magic, etc.

I just checked some talent trees from cata…
Also for the other classes…
Jesus… I could cry

fel flame
10ch

Also death knight auras… was very 4HM alike vibe and cool RP thing for me

Priest MANA BURN

Well, people always cry aboot class not being unique, but they started class ““homogenization”” in cata. And I’m still convinced that moving talents to baseline is good idea.

Yes, that’s why I’m happy that they said How and con beeing baseline again for us.

I don’t think the talent tree now is bad in general, I just miss a lot of flavour the classes had back then.

Retaliation.
Watching enha shamans poping bloodlust and then i pop retaliation.
