What is THE class for dragonflight?

I’m trying to find a class in “Theme” with the expansion to try and motivate me to play through the story, as i kinda stopped at 62 with my death knight back in launch week.
I just don’t feel like playing the DK atm…
Which class was the most fun mob to mob or for general feel while leveling up?
After reading a bit Evoker, Warrior or hunter seems to look decent currently
I also like the look of demology, but dono how that is in mob to mob gameplay or how in theme that would be.
Any experiences people have with the above mentioned classes would be appriciated or if you have any other classes you like to suggest.

Evoker
Or Mage (Kalec and the Blues and the Arcane/Titanic Order is prominent theme)
Maybe Shaman if you look from the primalist point of view

if You’re searching classes that might fit in the theme of this Xpac: These are the following i reccomend:

  1. Evoker:

They are experiments on Neltharion put to sleep for 20.000 years untill they woke up as well as the dragon isles:
the class itself is the one more close to the Xpac thanks to being the first class that uses the powers of the aspects and tyed to dracthyr. in the end, dracthyrs evokers are èlite soldiers using the powers of the aspects to they’r advantage, and with the 10.0.7 on the horizon, we will return to the forbidden reach to help them discover more of they’r past.

  1. Warrior/Hunter/Rogue

These 3 classes can be interpreted as adventurers/Explorers. Warriors are just Wielders of heavy weapons, they can go anywhere and hit enemyes with they’r mastery in weapons, as for Hunters and Rogues, they are the perfect Scouts/Explorers. Being able to Hide, Tame Beasts or Use Hooks to get to places makes these 2 a good choice for theme!

  1. Monk / Mage / Shamans

Not all monks should be interpreted as they are, they can also be Travelers, hearing of the isles and wanting to explore them themselves, making it a good class in theme (but not as good as the ones mentioned earlyer).

as for mages: The blue dragonflight’s Wields arcane powers, so mages could be another good choice. another thing is that we have Kadghar in the Dragon isles too, so it can be that someone from the kirin tor is also on the isles to aid the dragonflights.

Shamans are another choice since we are dealing with the elements. we have some shamans in DF too like the 1 near the obsidian cittadel dealing with wild fire elementals.

While I find evokers are fun with some gear at 70, I did find mine a bit of a pain to level. With levelling gear, you do very little damage outside of your 30 second cooldowns, and I was often waiting on things to cycle back up because I didn’t want to pull more mobs with only fillers available. Great class at endgame, just felt weak until about ilvl 350.

For general open world stuff I find warriors are fantastic. The charge and leap are quite intoxicating. It’s one of few characters I don’t try to avoid combat on because the swoosh of weapons sounds so good :joy_cat:

Hunter will do just fine, it’s safe and secure and strong in the open world - but I don’t find them very exciting. Send pet, auto, next mob. Not a fun class outside of dungeons, imo.

In vanilla hunters have always been the dragon slayer class. Think of their bow, etc.

In general fantasy, prot warriors and paladins also make sense.

I almost wanna puke when seeing evokers out of visage form

Theme wise mages fit pretty well, also druids and of course shamans.

Meanwhile me, a Paladin, just imagining myself going on a “vacation” on the Dragon Isles while playing the story…

They’re great but squishy at forst

I like them the most, Prot is a very decent tank and has a ton of fun talents I love (aoe Rend, auto crit Shockwave, high Shieldblock uptime, crazy good defensives and even a lot of selfheals) with Fury gaining an entire different playstyle with Storm of Swords.

That’s entirely subjective, so I can’t tell you what YOUR fun is.
For me it’s BM hunter. There’s no other spec/class that comes even close.
But… That might be completely different for you.

Yall saying shamans and is funny how until last week, ele was last on raiding dps meters
In an expansion based around elements, ele shaman was the weakest dps… Cant make this up

your playing a gnome. not every race has to be pretty and sparkley

My gnome is the george clooney of gnomeregan. Idk what you’re talking about

I like the new Evoker class, and it surely fits the theme. Explorer type classes like hunter and rogue fit in nicely as well

No, I love hunter and that new cat from DF look amazing

Due to surv being so OP at the end of shadowlands, that was a spec i played a lot as well, so he has plenty of gear.

He’s Currently Zandalari Troll, But having a hard time finding a ranged weap or general transmogg that looks good.

When in doubt, druid seeing how it lets you cover all roles save for non-caster ranged.

But then stuck with the druid shapes or smurf mode.

evoker ( dragon )
hunter (dragon hunters )
shaman ( primal elements )

any of these 3 classes are themed for Dragonflight

Evoker and any of the explorer type classes

Hunters are great because you can have an army of ducks

A good argument could be made for Shaman. There is a lot about the elements and totems.

Why isn’t Thrall around doing more? And the Earthen Ring for that matter…

There are many Earthen Ring representatives on the Isles
Thrall is probably with his family
It is a smart move tho’
The elements are chaotic enough without a Shaman Tug-o-war make things even worse and making them more insane and chaotic than they already are
