It’s the damn Pepe chirping haunting us again.
I just heard the chirp myself while running around in soulshape in Heart of the Forest, pretty sure I’ve heard it elsewhere too but now I was more aware of it because of this thread.
Heard it a few times in ebgs, not too bothered by it. However, some of my guildies have been hearing it more frequent and can’t figure out what’s causing it. Obviously causing a lot of frustration because they don’t want to hear it.
All I hear are my weakauras and music and occasionally our raid leader saying something. Not paying too much attention to him, I do hope that he doesn’t start chriping though.

Have not had sound on for atleast 12 years or more but this tread makes me almost want to turn it back on.
Still no answer to what or where the sound is coming from?

heard them my self on this hunter and on my priest, hunter is night fae, and priest is necro but I never seen anything that could do it, when I been looking arround.

It does, it gives other players the cheep sound. I watched someone in LFR soul form with that buff and the split second the horn buff showed for me I heard the bird cheep.

though I have heard it whit no soul shape even close, unless I am totaly blind that is.

Heard it often in Heart of the Forest, and I play with music and ambient sound switched off.
some do say it is the moth soulshape doing it, but that still would not explain it why people hear it whit no soulshape close.

Alt theory: In an alternate layer, exactly in your locality someone soul shaped and it plays out through all layers in that space? 
So, has anyone figured it out yet? I thought I was going mental - been hearing it for days. First I assumed it was some change to the IM system (seeing as my friend/group feature would pop a notification at around the same times by pure convenience, but it’s not that). Then I assumed it was some unknown feature of my addons.
It’s starting to feel like water-torture. It’s not that hearing it now and then is unpleasant, but when it happens randomly throughout my long days of grinding (for reasons unknown), it starts to grate.
I think it has to do with Korayn, the new soulbind that is available since last week. Her “talent” Horn of the Wild Hunt increases the movementspeed of allies within 40 yards by 10% whenever someone activates his Soulshape.
Since you are basically applying a buff to others, there is some sort of signal to those others; the bird chirping and sometimes also horn sounds.
Then how can I hear it when I am alone? It’s not it. Probably some broken sound file.
