I WANT to play Havoc in M+, but no one invites me NOR joins my key — even to 7-8 crest farm groups are declining me. (The state of pugs RN)

So, last night, just for the sake of doing something, I logged onto my Shaman (I usually just do PvP on that character and play Mythic+ on and off, but now that enh/ele is meta it is easier to join/form a group). I listed my key for SoB at +8. A premade group applied, but as soon as they joined, they started roasting me, saying, “Oh, look, another FOTM re-roller.” I replied, “I’m not a re-roller; I’m a PvP player.”

We started the dungeon, and I died because I got aggro. The tank then shares the DPS list, saying, “FOTM roller can’t DPS.” I decided to ignore it. We’re about to finish the run, and they start roasting me again, saying, “Meta slave did less damage than our Fury,” and so on. It just triggered me, and I said that I’m 610, barely have PVE items, and yet I am on the 2nd place on DPS, we did the key to +2 and yet, you complain? They said “You are not a PVPer you are just a FOTM re-rolling meta SLAVE.” I speced to ele, and linked them my CR 2.4 to which they replied “Noob”.

I left without saying anything AND then, I get a warning on my screen saying I am being reported for “offensive language.”

What was my offensive langauge here? The fact that I despite not having enough PVE gear was still doing my best? Or the fact that I was ignoring those keyboard heroes? I already got silenced once, thanks to PVP, but in PVE I rarely speak, except for saying, o/, tyvm gg/ bb/gl.

As soon as that warning poped out I just Alt f4-ed out of frustration, and I am sorry for this wall of text, but I had to say it.

Blizzard should really do something about this mass reports for no reason.

never met people like that but i have met plenty of people with high scores there still does not know how necrotic wake goes with hook etc and even spears :smiley:

I never invite pre mades of any kind. It’s a guaranteed gang up if things go bad. With 4 randoms the chance someone will take your side is higher than 0%.

These people probably have nothing exciting in their lives for the exception of wow. I have learned to just ignore people now.
I got asked if I knew how to heal in a +12 because people kept dying. I linked the interrupts and there was only me and the tank and they sharp shut up. :sweat_smile:

I really find it amazing myself. My friend doesn’t. But it’s unreal. We had 3 mins on the clock in mists 12 last night the boss was< 25% one of the dps must have been watching the MDI and thought “I’ll pull the trash into the boss” the ones that chunk you for about 70% of your HP with aoe. We had no cooldown for it and it wiped us. Gg wp game over :sob:

That prob depends more on the key you have than the class/spec you play.

But yeah, sorry you faced the lower bracket of society. It happens, but it’s not the norm. Also, Fury warrior is actually performing quite decent atm and the only problem they have is utility-related.

In other words; they have zero idea what they’re on about. Let them be. It’s difficult enough to be challenged in the way they are…

Last time I met these sorta players was in SL, but those times people were not abussing the report system AFAIK.

Tbh, I invited for sake of finishing a key faster. With my DH, I had COT 10, I tried listed on and off 3 hours on a row, literally NO ONE applied. At least had some time to do skinning and earn some gold.

Though, for some dark mojo reasons, regardless what is my IO or ilvl asap I list a key with shaman it gets filled quickly.

Tbh, after I got silenced for the first time in my WoW history, I barely even speak. But this was just straight up roasting for no reason, and I did not even say anything “offensive” just was standing on my word.

Just tired to be honest. I am even scared to open my email in fear of getting a notice that I been silenced.

Don’t worry. You can always appeal a sanction. I know on the forum it sounds like that they ignore appeals per default, but I’ve heard of some decent responses to falsely applied automatic sanctions.

Avoid getting into argument with premades, they will report you 4x even just to support their friend.

Also they were probably on voice and war could coord with the tank.

As a Boomie i lost count of how many times i had a tanks pull 3 mobs, stand still for like 5/10s, make me pop cds and then run and pull the whole room.
Like ffs, wait 5 seconds and do the whole pull all at once?

You should have left the group after they said this. If they started with that comment it was only going to get worse as the run went on.

My friend guardian druid has to do that too pretty often to get some rage and with that ironfur. 5 seconds waiting will potentially even lower the amount of rage. I can’t speak for your tanks, but it is how bear works.

Oh don’t even start about this…

I pretty much stopped playing Shadow in pugs due to this. Looks like it’s gonna be a 1-pack pull → toss Crash → pulls two extra packs → … great, now what…

I get why he does that but that’s not really optimal and not needed. At least I’ve never needed to do this in any of my keys. What you’d actually want to do (if you’re out of rage) is to shift out of bear (before pull ofc), shift back into it (this generates some rage) and then just enter the pack with a def cd up. After that, you start to pool rage shortly before the current pack dies so you can just enter the next trash pack with enough rage.

Tanks who do that when I’m playing my Disc also kind of scuff my healing with that behaviour if not communicated before.

It is needed otherwise he flops over. That’s the experience, so we learned to adapt. Obviously not everywhere and all the time.

Point is, in pug you don’t know if they are going to chain or not. Regardless of how tank works.

With KotG i can hold cds for 15s without them being lost but i cannot sit there afk every single pull wondering if that is it or not.

Then he may be not using his CDs correctly? Unless he’s playing 13s or something, I can’t comment on it but for anything below 12s it should not be needed. I mean I’m literally playing the same specc and I never need to do that. :slight_smile:
