Well, that is pugging You know nothing how things will go.
Well, we are trying to time 12’s. Using CD’s correctly is depending on how fast packs die. When the pack is far from dead he needs to use the CD he wants to use on the next, but now it is on cooldown.
Tried listing as 8 too, still no luck.
But again, I am telling you, there is some mojo going on. Whenever I am listing a key with shaman it just gets filled, perhaps it is a sign, to play shaman in m+ too.
So was I and I also didn’t need to do that in 12s. That’s why I mentioned 13s. ^^
That being said I stopped doing 12s by now because my friends kinda went semi-offline and I cba to PuG 12 tbh.
What’s his ilvl?
It does depend on the dps, doesn’t it? When a pack is far from dead you need to use more cd’s. Cd’s you probably wanted to use on the next pack.
Try a community like No Pressure EU (just google their discord) and sign up for keys listed. Decent community but dps spots fill quickly and tanks and healers are at a premium (thats a game thing).
As to the premades being douches. Welcome to the internet, not sure what else can be said.
Yes and no. I mean Guardian has really a lot of def CDs on a rather short CD but if I was in the situation of not being able to pool rage before a pack dies AND not having any def CDs up before my next pull, I’d rather just start kiting for a few seconds than to pull a single pack.
But if that works for you, great. I just think it’s suboptimal if you have random DPS in your party. In a full premade it’s fine because everybody knows what’s going on but this can completely gut your random DPS’s CDs/dmg.
Its cause city of threads sucks, annoying dungeon with no good loot.
Honestly i can’t speak for someone else I just know he gets out of stuff when pulls take too long. And there are a couple of pulls he always need to pull small for a couple of seconds and then can continue.
But we aren’t professionals so we probably can do stuff better. A lot of players who put the time in the game like we do are way higher in keys. There must be a good reason for that.
There are other 50+ dps join (same spec as you play aswell probably), for 3 spots.
You have a choice to go tank aswell.
In legion and bfa, everyone wanted havoc dh and no other melees.
That is not pugging, that is bad tanking.
It is no different than those pulling 700 mobs doing aoe cause they can survive and so they can do big numbers.
Flopping over on pull is even worse tanking. So yeah…
And you are at the mercy of the dps. You do not know how fast pulls will get destroyed, so you can’t schedule that easy cooldowns.
I been tank bear since Legion, I just want to take break from tanking. Of course, it is an easy mode, but there are many classes I am dying to play, I am talking about Havoc and etc.
Fair enough. Who of us can’t do anything better. We all learn something new each and everyday. I’m currently playing my Disc alt and getting all the 11s right now to get maybe into 12s as Disc with another group.
The previous tank knowledge I have (dangerous pulls/mobs/etc) immensely helped me on my healing adventures but I still learn something new about it almost every key. Going from Tank to Heal is a rather fun experience imo.
It also helped me to understand Discs healing pattern better when I tank with a Disc in my group.
We are playing together M+ since legion. It is just what it is. Sounds like you are also just a better player I think we cap out on 2 chesting 11’s this season.
If you make a pull of 10 mobs making dps pop cds at the first 3 mobs cause you pull the rest after 10s then no you will have to commit extra cds.
To see how fast a pull get destroyed you should pull it in a decent way as well.
I wouldn’t go that far tbh. I’m rather new to the M+ scene. First time I really played M+ was in SL S1 and just to KSM, then I stopped playing. Then I came back in DF S2 and S3 and got to 3.2k, which were 25/26s.
The big 12 wall also took me by surprise and kinda shattered my group I was playing with and as I’ve said, I don’t really feel like pugging 12s. especially due to the wait time because people are sooo selective with their 12 keys (understandably so tbf).
So I decided to just play an alt, go to 11s again and then see where the journey takes me.
But the alternative is just not pull and sit there for a minute to get a cooldown back.
Theres nothing wrong with pulling a couple of mobs for 5 seconds, get some rage and aggro. Maybe even get the interrupt and then pull them into the next pack.
Yes, so you are just better And that is great. I have no problem with that at all.
I suggest linking a route (and thus the planned pulls) before the key. This helps the DPS to time their CDs better. It even helps me, as a healer, to know what to expect and when to anticipate CDs.
Granted, a lot of randoes just ignore the route and go zugzug anyways, it betters your chances though lol.
I have though because I don’t see myself as a better player at all. We’re literally at the same step right now.
