I want it for the ability. Not to have an easier time in dungeons, but to go super pew pew when farming mounts and sell-ables.
Good luck for you, i hope you can get it!!
I only purchase boosts for the time limited end of expansion raid titles and mounts, like the Grove Warden, or the Chosen title. I do it because I like the mount model or the title and at the same time couldn’t care less about raiding. A raid boost costs only a few nickels, while gearing up your character to be competent for mythic raiding is a waste of time and effort, because as soon as the next patch hits that gear becomes irrelevant. Cosmetics like mounts and titles are the only reač end game worth the time.
People being bots
Im just saying when someone accepts a 126 tank, or the tank comes without a weapon on a freaking +12 i dont see the point in trying sometimes
Only time I bought a boost with gold (that I earned in-game) was for the “glacial tidestorm” since I don’t raid and really did want the mount for my mage 🧙♂️
Lowest i ever had was my own group and i decided to accept a 110 druid healer for a +4. I knew our tank is overgeared for it and as a DH has a lot of sustain.
We managed to time it, the healer was so thankful that he got to join - first key above 2 - and he left the dungeon with like three new pieces that we all didn’t need. It was glorious
Kek.
I noped out of a +15 on my druid earlier before it started, thought I’d do at least one this week and the leader invited a paladin to the group. The paladin was using an intellect weapon and had intellect trinkets and he was supposed to to be the tank. He also had the shock barrier legendary equipped.
Looking him up on raider.io, it doesn’t seem like the run ever started with him in it or it failed and disbanded because he for sure did not complete it.
Excusable in very low keys, but i feel like there comes a point where it’s not “casual” content anymore and people are expected to tryhard and have proper gear.
So i can’t blame you for leaving.
As a filthy casual who has done +8 as highest, i would have stayed just for a giggle and to see how it plays out.
the only time i was tempted to buy a boost was to win 10 rated BGs for a legion artifact skin, i was tempted just because I couldn’t find groups for it, and queued for hours.
In the end i managed to find a decent grp and got al the victories needed without boosts.
I might consider buying boost for gear if I reach the point where I have collected everything up to Legion raids and BfA. I find doing legacy content far more enjoyable than tediously grinding M+ for gear.
If I can skip gearing process by buying heroic SoD boost for 250k and then few 15s for like 100k each then I’d rather do that than spend countless hours doing content I dont enjoy
Why even do them at all then? Isn’t it better to choose a different content then or just play anything else until there is content you like?
I’ll agree with Qrazie here. What are you even playing this game for?
I mean alts of course. Like going through low keys, normal raid etc… no thank you
Those are fun with pugs.
Ive even seen people that progressed hc early into the patches and then clear it fairly often still buying boosts for it. Reasons vary a bit between their guild not raiding that week, wouldnt accept them on the alt that wants to kill KT/Sylv or they cant make it for the raid times so just go whenever they want (so a convenience factor in short).
Ah, you mean to boost the alts so you can enjoy heroic/mythic raids? Or higher mythic+?
yeah I should’ve been more specific I guess
So what part of the content don’t you like doing?
maybe I’ll focus on content I like instead. List will be much shorter.
Doing keys with friends, fast heroic clears, few bosses on mythic.
Starting from scratch can be nice if you play in a premade. Doing it solo is bad.
