What races or AR you DON'T want added into the game?

Here is a Grummle without the hat covering the top portion of their face.

Guild concept idea:

Gnomes using Pandaria outfits and the straw hat from the Tillers, to rp as Grummles, the guild tiself being a delivery service.

So would you be fine with sethrak on horde then? Or are you just against sethrak in general?

I wouldn´t mind them on the Horde, although I believe that not every new race we meet which isn´t trying to immediately kill us should be an allied race.

No one should get sethrak then, vulperas did enough to worsen the faction imbalance.

Well, they’re new and added in the expansion where ARs are a key feature, not to mention they’re quite different from any current playable race.
I think most will crusade for their favorite race to be playable, which is why we see requests for all kinds of races.
Still nice that you are not against sethrak being added to the game.

I don’t see the problem with sethrak joining the horde, as they worked more with them.
Sethrak going horde does not mean that the alliance AR need to be trash either. Just give them something like lost-ones or Arakkoa and it should be fine.

Ogres.

For the simple fact Horde RP will become a mess of hilarious comedians making Lunk/Stupid Ogre Stereotypes for months on end.

I think we have enough races ingame as it is now, so as others said, just give the existing ones more customisation options, especially the early allied races could use more ( Velf, HMT, Lightforged and Nightborne).

Yeah I hope they add more options to the AR in the future like they are doing with core races in SL.

San’layn
Dark Ranger Elves/Undead night elves
(The time of the edgy, undead Horde went away with Sylvanas. You had your turn! :dagger: )

Mogu
Gilblins
Jinyu/Ankoan

I at least want them as one of the new goblin personalisation options.

San’layn or Ven’thyr. I realise the irony of saying this on this char- but we have enough elves now, particularly “noble” elves (Belf, NB, Velf to some extent as well as the highborne within NE), if another elf must be added, it has to be something totally different (and no, transforming helf into outdoorsy woad wearing nature worshippers doesn’t count).

I don’t want to see half-races. Wow has enough interesting core races to develop without half-baking a slot by making it an already existing race with diluted features. I mean many ARs are that already, let’s not ask for even less. Vulpera and Zandalari (and KT) have shown that Blizz can push the boat out a bit more so let’s ask them too.

ANy “evil” races - Mogu, Naga, Satyr etc. These races are cool because for the most part (lol rajani) they’re actually just bad guys. That’s their thing. Having an offset faction that cooperates with the a/h just dilutes what they are (and yes I believe this applies to the Rajani, Mogu are cool because they’re all imperial conquesting badbois, not because they’re titan constructs). The one variation to this is by making such a race a subjugated race (I’ve seen other posters suggest this before) where they haven’t joined the a/h, they’re forced to fight for them under duress, so your character is essentially in bondage. For this to be convincing it’d need a lot of work for questgivers to change their dialogue with you, but under these circumstances that would be impressive.

No Ulduar mechagnomes. Current mechagnomes are fine.

In truth there aren’t many races I’d personally be crazy for them to add, but I will say if they added stuff like Jinyu, Hozen (come on blizz you’ve actually referenced them in BFA as part of their faction, COME ON) and Tortollans I would be pretty psyched. Ook jokes aside playing as a monkey would be pretty amazing and something really different from any other MMORPG out there.

I don’t want any new races.
I feel the game already feels incredibly bloated with the amount of races having almost doubled in a single expansion cycle, I think they should just focus on more options for every individual race instead for the next long while

Tuskarr…

LUCKY JUICE AND LUBE

Also I just remembered I would hate to see sand humans. Any form of further humans. No matter what kind. You got this vast and huge fantasy world with millions of unique races and we get humans. Fat humans as an allied race.

Imagine you live on Azeroth and instead being born a troll, a gnome, a tauren or anything else… You’re born a human. If I was a human in the setting of Azeroth I would ask a worgen to turn me just for the sake of not being a boring human.

Normal Humans, Fat Humans, Werewolf Humans, Undeath Humans…

Nobody ever complains about the amount of Humans… But 4 races of Elves is to much! Atleast they don’t get the boring same background story as all the Hummies! D:

Actually, yes you guys convinced me.

I am against more Allied Race and for more custimisation options for the existing (allied) races.

Also, seeing this old thread brought back good memories.

He really was a prophet:

The idea that humans are bad because they’re human is among the worst takes in this thread.

Anyway, I don’t want to see any races like Eredar or Naga. Just let villains be villains.

Mag’har Orcs are pretty bad. I’d like them to just…I mean I have spoken to four, precisely four, who actually behave like Mag’har would. The rest all think they’re Garrosh, or don’t even understand the lore of their own race “We belong here” “Well, maybe in time, but you are new to Azeroth and new to the Horde” “NO! We Belong in the Horde more than Elves do! More than Forsaken do! More than Trolls Do! More than Tauren Do!”

“Right…I realise, you are probably not the target audience, but do you aliens who just arrived a few months ago want a primer as to what the Horde is, given that it didn’t exist on your world, and nor did our species, and…yeah, you’re basically going all Iron Horde Orc at this aren’t you? Can you not, or, can you, and take repercussions?” “No, No repercussions, I am not surprised”

They honestly should have made Mag’har a customisation option, so that people didn’t get this squirrelly idea in their head that somehow Mag’har think like Garrosh?

The AU Mag’har were probably just a set-up for the Light becoming an enemy of sorts in the future. To me its nice to see that we’re able to play around with the story of AU Draenor a bit more, but it would be lovely to see people take their concepts to a place where they’re built up by story and emotion, rather than looking at Garrosh and going “OK.”… It’s been getting better of late, but I’ll just stick to an MU mag’har with ties to this timeline :stuck_out_tongue:

As for (allied)races I don’t want to see…

  • Naga. They’ve no reason to align themselves, even the Illidari Naga only did so out of the power they’d gain. Too unreliable, too old-goddie.
  • Shadowlands races They are the custodians of the realm of the dead. Let them remain there, as is proper. The Mortal world is no place for them.
  • [Insert elf type] Can we stop with the elves? There’s a lot of flavours, we get it. Just get them customization options for crying out loud.
